  1. I seriously wouldn't worry about it. They have a similar set up and template but they are different. She may just have liked the set up and it stuck in her mind when setting it up. They are a lot of websites out there that are similar. You can only do so much that is different. Besides, you're making money off of her. That's the name of the game when it comes to business. Money.

  2. In general, what I look for during test burns is:

    1. Is this the right size wick for this wax, container combo?

    2. How well does this scent throw?

    3. Safety? Does it get too hot? Is the flame too high?

    4. Smoking, soot or mushrooming?

    5. How quickly does it burn?

I have to retest everytime something changes such as size, new FO etc.

Everyone has different things that they want from their candles. I would find out what wicks you are using and the size so that you have a jumping off point.

  3. Very interesting! Do you think the legislation can be stopped? Seems like everything is against the small soap & B&B businesses. Carole

It certainly can't hurt to try! Sign the petitions, let people know what's going on and how it will affect them and you would be surprised how much of a response you can get.

If we do nothing than it will pass and I simply can not afford it. In fact, I think most of us can't.

  4. Creme Brulee-CS

    Cranberry Marmalade-CS

    wildberry mousse-CS

    Vanilla Bourbon-brighter scents

    vanilla and fresh berries-brighter scents

    sage and citrus-lonestar

    apple jack and peel-lonestar

A lot of JBN fragrances throw really well in C3 also but too many to list.

  5. Wow sounds like you're off to a great start! As you do it you'll start wanting to try more and more ideas and recipes. The next thing you know, you'll be clearing out more cabinets just for your soap supplies!

I recommend a notebook or journal so that you can record everything.

Micas are really fun, and beeswax. (but you have plenty of ingredients to start with.) Don't forget herbs that you may already have in your spice cabinet! :D

    Have fun!

  6. I have never had a problem with frosting with the C3. Wetspots and cracking on the tops, yes, but no frosting. For me it was a one pour because I just used a heat gun to smooth my tops! :D

I never preheat my jars and I only heated to about 170, pouring at 150. I did use CO but no USA. How did your candles come out before adding USA and CO to your formula?

You know, no matter what wax I've used it always looks better in the presto pot when it hardens than in the jars. Very intriguing and frustrating.
