  1. I have gotten to the point I put blinders on and just pay attention to whats going on at my own booth. The others are usually quite friendly or the odd one you get walking by quite often looking at your booth lol. I just bring the best product for my customers I have and give them all my attention. I really like the idea of a book showing you making your product.
  2. I use cyclo as the base for the spray, I mix it with fo. It is quite popular.
  3. I really like my sprays with cyclo and fo . I find with the roller bottles I need a little oil with the cyclo or they flow too freely when they are put on. I haave heard jojoba is nice but I use fractionated coconut oil.
  4. do you have access to shea butter at all? It is a softer butter.
  5. I did a party at my sisters. I find they are great, people really tend to buy. I mostly did just cash and carry. When people came in I gave them a gift type bag to shop with . These are what I give my customers their purchases in. I find since they had the bag they could buy more then if they were juggling them. Good luck!
  6. Those are gorgeous! I just love the flame from beeswax candles.
  7. Sounds like you did good for your first one. Some shows you sit there with no customers anywhere wondering what the heck?? I find too you get quite a few sales from other vendors but if they aren't making any money they aren't buying either.
  8. Yes that smell stays with you forever! I had bought a box of shea that was discounted because they were closing, when I finally opened it OMG! I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of it. I think we become more sensitive to smells too.
  9. So true Carol. The kids always ask when I'm burning one " what smells like honey?"
  10. Thanks! I was surprised at how the colour changed after I filtered it. I have some floater poinsettia molds so it should colour nicely for Christmas.
  11. Hi everyone! I have been making beeswax candles for a bit now and have done lots of testing. Boy does it take a while to burn down the candles. We have our own bees but only 8 hives so we don't get a tonne of wax. I bought some off someone local and have cleaned it a bit more to be extra clean. It is a lot lighter since I have cleaned it. Do you find that is just as desirable to customers? Is there a way to clean it that is doesn't lighten? Thanks!! Angela
  12. I use it to for my feet since I enjoy going barefoot way too much. I was selling a small package for feet and people were buying them with my foot butter.
  13. Here is a picture of some i made aparently the little hut needs a bit off the bottom! lol I was at the art store and they have stuff to make a mold but it would cost as much as buying a new mold. Has anyone seen the ones from germany available here? Thanks for all the great suggestions! Angela
  14. Thanks! I will post some pictures. It is ripped across the top where the wick fits in, I did use the elastics but pulled too tight and ended up with an odd shape! lol I'll remelt and try again.
  15. I'll let you know if I do find something. I have looked and the molds are fairly expensive so it would be nice to be able to fix it.
