  1. I've got 2 new customers who make products for horses - namely shampoo bars. They're using SCI and disodium cocoamphodiacetate (surfactants) in a solid bar, with coconut oil and BTMS emulsifier, also panthenol and silk. I don't know the exact recipe they're using but they're raving about the silkiness and softness of the horses. HTH, Sarah.
  2. Yes, the after-feel of the product is fantastic! Silky soft and conditioning. Sarah.
  3. Yes, it does have a smell but this is normal and it won't come through in our finished product!
  4. FBB is a cleansing/foaming agent-based creamy 'soap', like a cream version of 'Dove'! It contains several surfactants which act as foaming agents and cleansers. SCI is the main component of Dove too. HTH, Sarah.
  5. Plum Kernel oil smells like Amaretto liqueur/almond/marzipan. Fantastic if you like that sort of smell! It's my new favourite!
  6. I can't use shea on my face - breakout time! Try some easily penetrating oils such as Raspberry, Cranberry, Watermelon... One I've just discovered is Plum Kernel oil- smells absolutely delish and sinks in so quickly. I tried some mixed with Macadamia oil last night and this morning and my skin feels and looks amazing. Can you tell I love exotic oils?! HTH, Sarah.
  7. You'd have to contact your supplier to see what ingredients are allowed to be added. The only trouble with adding anything other than EOs is that it upsets the stability of the emulsion and you'll also have Preservative issues. Sarah.
  8. Jadryga, PMed you back! My only concern with oils from Grocery stores is that my Safety Assessor won't certify products unless they're from reputable suppliers. Joe Bloggs' Grocery store isn't enough, especially with the additives they put in oils, even though they don't state them in the ingredients lists. Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm adding some oil-based extracts and Organic oils soon. If anyone has queries about shipping or anything else, feel free to contact me. Best wishes, Sarah.
  9. Me! I'm in the UK but sell to Europe, well most places actually. I do a wholesale service and will be stocking bases soon too. Take a look and PM me for any more info.
  10. Try here: http://www.theherbarie.com Angie has some great oil-based extracts. I'm actually working on a balm recipe using some of these extracts. I'm not sure if they're lip safe though. HTH, Sarah.
  11. Try browsing at: http://www.theherbarie.com Angie has many surfactants that you can sub and has a great formulary for you to use to see if you can come up with a similar recipe. HTH, Sarah.
  12. Not the powder shakers, I'm afraid. Not sure who does them in the UK. Sarah.
  13. Hi, Only just seen this thread - I do!!! I stock the 1oz push-up tubes and some deodorant tubes. Let me know if you're interested. Sarah.
  14. Hi all, Only just seen this - Ilona, I'm in the UK and sell BTMS if you're interested. Sarah.
