  1. I have been sucessful single wicking 12 and 16 oz apoth jars using the HeinzCD18 wick. This is the wick that the person whom I purchased the business from used successfully. I hope this helps. I use this wick in the J50 and J233 wax. Ingrid

  3. Well, I am trying to use the 4794 wax because my supplier carries it and I don't have to pay to have 6228 shipped from Ohio to New York. Does anyone have a preferred wick to use with the 4794 for votives?? I tried the CD5 with the 4794 but am not happy with the scent throw or the way it burns. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ingrid
  4. Well, I guess this candlemaking is just one experiment after another, I love doing it but I am having difficulty with sharpness in my colors. I am using J50 wax for containers and color blocks for color. I am finding the colors rather cloudy and not too sharp. Does anyone have any info on what I may be doing wrong? Would liquid color be any better than the color blocks? Help...
  5. Thanks to everyone you replied to my question on color control. This was my first time on the message board. It is great to have access to all the information on candles. Ingrid
