Moonpie here have Chocolate outside marshmallow / cookie inside but I talked to Brittany (my little one) and she loved the Smookers idea.. but after holidays I am going with Moonpie~haha.. just not going to tell her it changed on it..I am putting it in a Coffee Mug for HER 1st grade teacher for Christmas gift from her so it will be something that she will HELP Mommy make and send give for a gift and we are also going to Dip some of the HUGE pinecones in wax and FO for gifts this year as "little people" dont make much money and that was their idea to do and they picked the best ones up out of my parents yard to dip.. thought was a kewl idea

LOL~ true.. but boy we LOVE spending the money THEY make! LOL.. (or atleast I do~haha) actually mine doesn't ask or gripe about anything I spend as long as the bills are paid FIRST .. and he has gas money to get back and forth to work.. since he'd rather me make candles and stay sane than not make candles and B**ch all the time cuz I have nothing to funnel my frustration energy into when the kids and he drives me nuts~haha

aren't they funny.. mine will pick at me about the money I spend on it but then when I MAKE some money.. completely different attitude! LOL.. and then he is the one that enjoys finding "fun" stuff for me to make a candle out of~LOL.. They tickle me! LOL

I guess anytime of year all time fav is LOVESPELL V.S.type I have lotion, and perfume from v.s and make myown candles in that scent... want to get the bodyspray too... hmmmmm... Christmas present idea to put on hubby list he can get me .. along with money for candles supplies~LOL..

Ok.. I have a blend of scents that I need a name for and I need some suggestions please.. They are: yummy sounding to me anyways~ Sugar cookie Hershey's Chocolate Toasted Marshmellow my little girl wanted to call it Smore's but to me that needed Graham cracker Crust instead of sugar cookie (I dont have graham cracker FO) so now Im at a loss.. the brain is not in a function mode right now in creativity~ Thanks in advance~ Jenni

~LOL~ Me 2... and wally world.. and yardsales, and goodwill.. everywhere.. my hubby laughs at me but if truth be told.. he is as bad as I am.. we went to a mile long yard sale that gets done here locally 2x year last weekend and HE found me 4 boxes (HUGE ones) at different houses of speciality like jars for little of nothing.. one of them had like 15 glass ice cream sundae styles for $5.. let me tell ya he snagged them up and was all excited to tell me "baby I gotcha a little somethin for ur candles"~LOL.. He got me a cooler full of Ball canning jars that still had the lid seals on them dated 1968 for $3 .. those are nothing but my own personal testing jars (jelly jar sizes) I tossed out the lids and seals since I can buy the replacements but I thought that was neat.. them suckers were older than I AM! LOL..

Can you use the Plastic Ice Cube Trays to make these too? Do you also have to spray the inside with a "cooking spray" to make them release correctly? I thought about doing some for my kids Fall Festival Basket that I have to get done in the next 2 weeks and wanting something Different besides just 3 jar candles... I have a candle warmer to put in there that will also double as tart warmer on the top & want to put some tarts in the basket as well (afterall what good is the tart warmer part with out some tarts~LOL) Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Im going on a hope and prayer to get this stuff done .. wanted to put some B/B stuff but that is not working out.. I am only good at making the bath salts~lol.. so I am trying tomake up difference with other stuff. Thanks ~Jenni~

I done Cinnamon Buns tonight.. tomorrow I am doing Bayberry and working on a blend for one I am calling Smore's my children's school Fall Festival Basket. ( got in a pickle.. friend was going to help me donate some items and the candles I can manage BUT I dont do Bath and Body stuff except for Bath Salts & now I am dont know what am going to do about getting a bottle of lotion, lipbalm, bodyspray, etc.. ) anybody out there that does them that wants to donate.. let me know~ It is a way to generate ur biz ~lol..... but this is what im working on this weekend.. hubby is gone all day tomorrow to shooting range and class then off to work allnite, so I have plenty time to find a few other candle scents to play with too~

Ok.. but I am putting them in the Clamshell containers so I wouldn't be getting them out so do I need to add something in there with it then? I have some straight parafin (J50) I could mix in or is that too soft to put with it too?

make tarts?? or does it have to just be to do containers? I got it as the "freebie" sample bag of soy flakes from Filmore and I have NEVER Ever used soy before so I wanted to ask this before I mess it up~ I am dying to try it so any help from all you wonderful Experts would be greatly appreciated!! used Liquid coloring.. stirred it what I thought was mixed well.. I think I may have mixed that coloring in while the wax was too HOT... is that really possible? I mean I am gonna still burn that little sucker since it was just a "junk candle" anyways.. and that is the best way to learn on IMO.. why waste the good stuff when you aint got this down to the art you want it as~lol..

container candles .. meltdowns of some that were older ones.. cheap wax from when first learning to make them so not to waste my good wax~lol..

I colored my first candle last night and now I have them dreadful white streaks in it Did I put the color in it while was too hot or what? (now mind you this was done with some scrap candles that needed to be melted down anyways.. Ididn't want to "waste" my good wax till I get this down right!) so any tips from the expert tipsters out there would be soooo helpful right now... Thank so much!!

I am going to "play" with the Blue color tomorrow nite.. lol.. now to find a scent that needs to melt down that will match that one.. hahaha... might have to just Make me one up~lol..

Well I did it! I took the Plunge~lol.. I done a Colored candle tonight! I had gotten 2 of the 1oz liquid dye bottles to "try it out" and see how I done on some of my melt downs that I needed to do and I am TICKLED to death with the way it turned out!!!! I remelted down a Cranberry scent that was some I had done a while back and I used Rose colored dye.. 15 drops of that and it is the Prettiest color of deep RED I have seen (if I do say so myself) LOL.. I will take pix and when my probation period is up (oct 7th) I will post it in the gallery side if anyone wants to see it... my own wall of shame pix so to speak~lol.. Just wanted to share my excitement.. hubby is gone to work and everyone else I know that would care is in the bed and would not like a phone call so I had to "Adapt and Overcome and Improvise" LOL Have a great nite everyone!! ~Jenni~

it doesnt have a dial BUT i have a thermometer.. so icould watch the temp and unplug it when it got to the temp or just before and let it cool bk down and if not mistaken from what I have read on the postings about these wonderful things.. I can let the wax just sit in there and REMELT as needed .. as long as I laddle it out and add my scent to it in a melt pot from there.. (no need to "cook" the scents??) correct .??? I am sooooo new at this stuff.. I am use to the double boiler things and I would love to get something that is faster / easier to improve my hobby habbit!~lol.. Thx in advance!! Jenni

yep they have some of the kerr here too.. I checked the website too.. we have both Ball and kerr brands.. I was even lucky enough to run across some single jars at local Goodwill store for .25 each~ I could not resist snatching them right up in my buggy! LOL.. they were just calling out to me .. "take me home.. I want you to put wax in me NO vegetables PLEASE!!!" LOL ..

Walmart, Albertsons, Publix here in TN carries them.. ...I got some last weekend for my candles here at the house because those last me longer

I have a Clean Extra Presto (FryBaby) Can I use this to Melt my wax??? and then just dip it out into a pour pot and add my scent, etc... I hate to see this just sit in my kitchen and go to "waste" or have to actually use it to COOK FOOD with! LOL.. Thanks for advice... Jenni:D
