Loose some of their scent when color is added to parafin wax? I have heard conflicting statements reguarding this and wanted to consult the "pros" here~ I heard that if you color your candles it takes a %of your scent away and you basically have to add a little more than u normally would if you did not color them... IS THIS TRUE??? Thanks much for this bit of info... Jenni p.s. I am talking about BOTH liquid dye and colorblocks/ flakes.. so send on some info you have for either one.

I need some scent mix ideas .. I just asked to donate a small candle basket to a school festival and she only wants like 2 candles since its a donation thingy.. and wants FALL scents. Here's the FO's that I have on hand that r in fall lines : spiced apple Hazelnut Cinnamon Coconut Wildberry Vanilla Bayberry Amber Vanilla Nutmeg Raspberry Tea Fireside Tea Mulberry Black Cherry Patchouli Chamomile tea Dragon's Blood **Now.. my ?? is What scents and/or mixtures can I do that will blend well to really WOW them for this Festival... any ideas?? kewl! I have not tried the Granular wax so that will be interesting to try.. I will have to invest in a thermometer.. I have a coffee pot that I use in a pan of water to melt my wax in ... savin up for a direct heat melt pot and I am thinking I can get a thermometer at Walmart that will work.. ?? Thanks for the info.. that is a definate something I am going to put in my TO DO thingy's and when my probation is over I may can figure out how to upload pix of how they turn out~lol.. Ok.. for all those who have done these.. I need a quick question answered~ What is the best type of wax to make these that dont melt the plastic molds and which supplier do you get it from that has the best price?? I am on a tight budget and my hubby only allots me so much to put into my "habit"~ so any advice you can send my way will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Jenni

I have heard this scent exist however my supplier does not carry it.. WHERE can I get a sample of it.. I am dying, JUST DYING to try it and see what it smells like!!!! My friend told me about it but I can't seem to get a "whif" of it anywhere! Any help will be appreciated... I am at the point of even a cotton ball with some on it would be Great! ~LOL Thanks Jenni

Do any of you have any scent receipes? I want to do some "Mad Lab" creations and would love some good combinations that you may know of if you dont mind sharing. I assume when some of the ones that say "equal parts" it is meaning 1/2oz of each scent to 1-2lbs of wax... am I correct or will that be an overload on scent? Newbie .. can ya tell~LOL Sorry for the bombarding of stupid questions... but we gotta learn somehow I guess~haha thanks much Jen

I am trying to attempt my hand at making some of the Potpouri out of like the wooden balls and thingys like you get at Y**kee Candle that smells good.. any suggestions on how to go about it? Possible soak the wood in the FO but for how long? etc.. anyone here ever attempted this? I'm thinkin ahead for goodies for gifts for the holidays if they turn out right~lol..
