I use J223 with mine and the only time I have ever had any trouble getting them out of the mold was when I tried taking them out to soon. Other than that the J223 has worked just fine for me. I am loving my tealight mold. Makes pouring scented tealights so much easier.
It depends on your oil. With most of my oils a 44-32-18 works fine, but with some I have to use a 51-32-18. When I'm testing I always start with the smaller wick size first.
I have a question for those of you who use the plastic tealight cups from Candlechem. Do tealights made with the tealight mold from Candlewic fit in the cups? They have a auction going on right now on ebay, but I didn't want to bid on them if they would'nt work for me. Thanks in advance. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Does anyone know if there is place where you can get votive molds that look like p---ylite votives? My sister wants me to make her some and so far I haven't been able to find any molds. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I find for me 8 ounce jelly jars sell real good. It all depends on how much a person is willing to spend. I would have a hard time selling a larger jar. Some people do better with the larger jars. Its all according to the market in your area.
I use J223 and sometimes I'm very impatient, once I pour my candle and it sets up I burn it the same day. I have had a few oils that may need a day or two to cure, but for me if it throws that same day its a winner.
Right now I'm charging $5 for my jelly jars but come Jan 1, I am raising my price to $6.00 to keep up with the rising costs of supplies. I will give a discount if purchased in 3's and do 3 for $15.00.
