  1. I use the 4794 for my pillars Works great. I can do either a full burn (where it burns itself evenly onward down) or I can use it to make a shell type pillar. All about the wicking baby!
  2. Lol thats so cute.. Sorry not trying to knock you on noobness. Just reminds me of my experimental days when there was no candle how to forum. Go get you a real pour pot from the craft store in the candle section. Even if candles arent your thing, that pot can come in handy later for other things. JoAnns has a 50% off coupon every month in their flyer, and Hobby Lobby has like 50% off candle stuff every month. As does Michaels. Then grab an old sauce pot for the water, and voila double boiler!
  3. I remember when I first started, my first case was like 40 bucks ad some change.
  4. Haha! Yeah like Miz said, prices go up. I just raised my prices. went from 2.00 to 2.25 and 7.50 to 8.00 I try to cut costs in other places though. In fact I lowered the price on 2 of my other items . Honestly though I have had not one person complain about my price increase. It's been 2 months and not a one. People comment sure, but it's more of a prices are going up everywhere kinda comment. Not just my stuff. Everyone seems understanding though, and it hasn't hindered my sales thats for sure. I have my stuff set so low in the first place, that my clientel knows by now that I am not greedy about my profits.
  5. Not to mention the candles are prolly poured by a 6 year old Indonesian girl, fresh out of the slums! LOL - no offense to any 6 year old Indonesian girls who may be reading this of course .
  6. Nevermind, soon as I posted, I saw a similar thread on the "Similar Thread" options! Nice feature!
  7. Did something happen to them? I cannot seem to be able to get to their website. Did a Google and nothing came up at all. I'm looking for the site that had all the awesome silicone molds. Thanks
  8. Awesome! Thank you guys! I also found out, they take longer when they get their overseas shipment from China. They stop processing orders to count their stuff. I placed my order, and she said it would get done Mon-Wed, So I am going to have to Express ship it, to have by Fri. I hope they'll do that . Thanks All!!!
  9. I know alot of you have used Levines, and I am thinking of placing my first order. Couple of questions first. Do they ship pretty quickly? (Im in TX) Has anyone used the Illuminating Warmer? How well does it work? Is it Versatile with many colors or only clearer colors? The Cache Pots, I could use a 9ox Hex Jar with no probs right? Thanks in Advance
  10. Call your merchant account and see what they advise. See if the can do a fraud check, and find out the charge back policy. I would strongly advise against purchasing the supplies or even starting the order until the payment is in your account-- for good.
  11. Oh I tried to just update the old thread, instead of starting a new one. But could not edit the title on the old thread. Thanks all
  12. Sorry about the pic, blame the new site. wont let me go any bigger for some reason
  13. I promised a pic of the new votive display. I got DH to make 3 frames like the one from the previous post. I bought the baskets from Hobby Lobby. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=14432&d=1200962715
  14. I promised pics and finally uploaded them. I got hubby to make the frame, and I bought the baskets from Hobby Lobby! Enjoy!

  16. I know I suggested the link for her way back in the day, but cannot find it!! It was mistys tart warmers or something. Anyone know it? Would sure like the web addy again. Thx
  17. I have never experienced any significant difference. I am sure some suppliers might do it though. Not everyone is honest unfortunately.
  18. I would try to get the money from them, but dont count on it. You sound like a nice person, but let me give you some biz advice. Niceness and generosity is not business. If you want to succeed and grow your company you will never do it by being nice or doing these favors. Keep your niceness to politeness and proffesionalism. Your not going to get anywhere when you are trying to make a buck, and using your biz to do "help people out of a finacial situation". I have been burned twice. Never recovered product nor money.
  19. I am afraid I cannot be much help but here goes. All of my wholesale accounts for the sake of 1, found me through the candles they bought from me (or recieved as a gift). I have never been one to go into shops and be a solicitor (I just can't stand those peeps lol), mainly because I feel like an idiot. Besides I don't want to interfere with their trying to help customers. However, I think It might be good if you kept an eye out for new shops in your area, specifically ones that aren't open yet (But have their sign out) and mail them a wholesale packet. Then call to make sure they got it. (You may have to use directory assistance) Maybe put out a little ad that you are looking for independant dealers in the area. Just a couple of ideas
  20. Seriously, I think you have to pass an annoyance/arrogant/dishonesty test before you can sell their candles!! Out of all the competitors I come across, MB people are by far the worst. I had one actually leave brochures on my tables in front of my displays (so It looked like I set them out for people to pick up). She thought she was sly by doing it while I took a Bathroom Break, but my booth neighbor was a dear friend and pulled them off lol. damn leeches, they always seem sooooo desperate
  21. We see those in malls all the time. Those are super cute!
  22. Alrighty!! So hubby is making this one http://www.gershelbros.com/product807.html I found the baskets at Hobby Lobby for a whopping 3.79ea! Gonna wait til next Monday to see if they go on sale. Hubby is making multiples of this and in total the display will hold 18-24 scents. Plus I can always add more displays later too! I will have it set up next week for my big show, so Ill take pics for ya!! Thanks!!!
  23. They are kinda shadey from my experience. Personally I dont deal with companies (especially those who handle my money) that cannot be contacted by phone or mail. ProPay (at that time) only communicated through email and Live Chat. For the price, your better off finding a merchant account. Just gotta shop around Oh Quickbooks has a merchant service too---and check your bank.
