  1. No, but BNC has... your saying to only do one jar at a time and test it? hmmmm
  2. So I would only put 15.03 oz of wax to weigh for the 3 jars and not 16 oz to equal a pound for the 1 oz of FO?
  3. OK - EZSOY w/ 8 oz. jelly jar containers. I used the calculator on this website and weighed my the following: 8 oz. jar = 6.3 oz 8 oz. jar with water= 12.5 oz equals 5.33 oz. of wax per jar. then do the following calculation: 6% FO = 5.33 x .06 = .32 oz FO per jar 94% wax = 5.33 x .94 = 5.01 oz wax per jar I have many 1 oz sample FO and I know they say you can use 1oz per pound of wax. Would it be safe to say I can use a 1 oz FO and mix it into a pound of wax to get 3 of these jars filled? (I may have a little wax left... thoughts? Need input!

  5. hah, good catch... I used the measurements on the site and did a copy and paste as I will be using a very similar jar. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the info.... would you use 3.5" wick for this type of jar I referenced above? Can you provide me a link to the LX wick? thanks! Corey
  7. Question for a newbie: What type of wick would you recommend for the use of EcoSoya CB-Advanced Soy Candle Wax and 4 oz jar measured as Height of of jar is 2 -1/16 inches when measured with our silver plastic cap, and with the silver metal cap, the height is 1-13/16 inches. Candle Wick Cotton Core: 3.5", 34-40. or Candle Wick Zinc Core: 5", 51-32-18. What is the difference between the use of cotton and zinc? Thanks!
  8. ok thanks for the input.. I live in Naperville, IL. I also heard there are two types of Advanced soy. One that is with 100% soybeans with botonical oils and one that is 100% pure soy without any botonical oils. Any preferences for a beginner for a container blend?
  9. quick question for a newbie.... In your presto, if you don't have a spigot then how are using to take the wax out of the presto without making a mess? Are you using a larger measuring cup or just using the pouring pot and putting it in the presto to get the wax and then pour them into the containers? Thanks
  10. I'm new in this area however have been doing alot of research and found this forum to have a wealth of knowledge and information! Thanks to all... I am researching the suppliers in my area as I am in the process to start the candle making. I found BCN (Bitter Creek North) in WI to have a nice starter kit for EZ SOY Containers so I went with them. In the future to try and save shipping costs I found a warehouse facility that has EcoSoya CB-Advanced Soy Candle Wax and it is only 10 miles down the road from me in Plainfield, IL. (Kangaroo Blue.com) I'm not sure how reputable they are so I wanted to know if there are specific questions I can ask them to find out how well the soy wax is they are selling. Or should I not worry about it? http://www.kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=98&products_id=297 Since I am just starting, is there any significant differences between EZ SOY and EcoSoya CB candle wax? The reason I ask is I called my local supplier and the EcoSoya CB is the only soy wax they carry. It would be great if I could use them for the soy wax in the near future to save on shippin costs! Thoughts?
