    I am going to make centerpieces for my Sister-in- Law's sweet 15 b-day pa rty. I know Im definetly going to make hurricanes. The mold is like 9in tall and 4 inches wide. I plan on embed fake grass and some fake butterflies. Could you guys suggest something not to expensive I might stand the hurricanes on. Or if I should put silk flowers on the outside. Or I'm willing to take any suggestions. Becky

    i ordered some FO's from another company many people order from, because they had some scents Peak's didn't.. They were a joke compared to Peaks. Peaks is definetly the best that I've smelled.

    I hate when I have something in mind and it doesnt come out the way I imagined. The candy cane one isn't too bad, but the blue one is pretty fugly.

    The secret to using the wal-mart flowerpots is not to fill them all the way to the top. You'll never get them out; there is a lip on the top. Fill them to about 1/4 inch from the top. Found out the hard way.

    Hi welcome to the board. If I can give you any advice it would be to forget the book idea, and just spend some time here on this board. I bought two books when I started to make candles (not too long ago), and they didn't get into the vital details of candlemaking like this site does. You'll get all the inspiration you need here.     I think i'm gonna wait for Peaks to get the 1554 back, because I cant find any other place that sells microwax less than 10 lbs. Does anybody know when that is?

    Look for sites that sell different shaped cookie cutters. My favorite is the dolphin. I wanna try one of these one day.

    I want to try to make some hurricanes. I have a couple questions. I plan on using the igi-1554, do you guys add the microwax or the universal additive? Also is it possible to just decoupage a pic on the outside instead of struggle with putting a pic in the wax? Also I dont know if this question is allowed so let me know if it's not OK Since Peaks is out of the round hurricane molds and the igi-1554 can i ask if you guys know any other places that sells them at a price as good as peaks. The mold is 5x6.5. I dont have to much patience.

    I currently have a regular kitchen scale. It's a cheapy and it won't really weigh anything under an ounce. I was wondering what do you guys use for weighing FO? And if you could give me the round about cost. I'd really appreciate it.

    it's got to totally cool to turn fushia. Sometimes it doesn't even turn fushia. I made some tarts with fushia and they came out light pink, then when i put them in my tart burner they melted and cooled and are now hot pink. Sometimes it even comes out like a light purple. ya never know with fushia.

    Here are some wal-mart hearts I did today. I used 51z wicks, and I used 3, but I don't know if I placed them in the right spots. I also can't seem to find how to post pics without attaching. oh yeah the red one is Red Currant and the Pink one is Pink Sugar Cnv0004.bmp
