  1. Wow...your soap is soooooooooo pretty! Hopefully one day mine will look that way too.
  2. I've made a few batches but I would like some help as well.
  3. I saw some liquid colorant at www.cierracandles.com. I remember reading about Peacock dyes but I'm not sure where to get them. Oh, and the Chemistry Store also has some. By any chance does anyone know what kind of colorant it is that Cierra carries? Their color chart looks similar to the select shades chart.
  4. :rolleyes2 Why didn't I think of that? For some reason I thought I could just let them sit and dry.
  5. I used the snowbomb recipe from the gallery. I think it was: 2 c baking soda 1 c cornstarch 1 c citric acid 1/3 cup oil ( I used grapeseed) fragrance I omitted the water and sprayed the mixture with witch hazel instead. It didn't seem to be too wet cause I didn't have any problems with the citric reacting. I guess I'll have to experiment to come up with a recipe that works for me.
  6. How do you get them to stay round? As mine are drying they get flat on the bottom and I was wondering if there was any way to prevent that from happening? I looked at lots of round bombs in the gallery so I must be doing something wrong. Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks.
  7. Very nice soap! I especially like the swirled ones and the salt bars.
  8. I was wondering if anyone had ever ordered from them, and if so, what you thought about their oils?
  9. 2000 candles...wow, and it looks great!
  10. The last batch that I made didn't turn out so well and it's because it was too wet. I also used teaspoons but I read on here that you can put the witch hazel in a spray bottle. You would then spritz your mixture until it feels like sand, and then put into molds. There are some good recipes in the recipe section or you can also do a search for bath bombs. Andrea
  11. When I first started I was able to buy some from a store called Natural Pantry. They had a decent selection of soapmaking supplies but their prices were unreasonable. It was about 3 years ago but I think I may have paid about $8 dollars for a pound. Andrea
