I know there is a link out there that you can use to view Jackel products - and have seen it posted here.. I think it was a supplier or something.. if anyone knows of it can you please post it.. there is a lot of questions going around about their products, but nobody can view them... Thanks..

Jackel has a bunch of neat ones.. I think there was a possibility of a co-op for Jackel in the works- might want to check that thread...

When we first started out it was RC Scentsations.. R for Randy my husband C for Crystal - thats me.. "S" in the Scentsations for Spath - our last name. We recently changed it to make it something easier - although we had a lot of compliments on the RC Scentsations.. we are now Sea View Candles, Soaps and Bath & Body... Sea View is a coastal town here in WA that we go to alot - Our lighthouse theme is us.. we collect Thomas Kinkade pictures of lighthouses.. so the two together - made it complete for us... We hired Beckie with Bizzy B's to do the artistic finishing touch and we are very pleased.. It takes some thought.. but you will get it, you will know it when it "hits home"

I've been thinking about offering sample sizes for sale (really cheap) of all the additive soaps, along with a baseline soap so members can have a better idea of what additive feels like what.. What'cha think? Do-able?
I think that would be an awsome thing.. I am intrigued.. I didnt know this could be done.. I never stop learning from you Bunny...

I total missed out.. I sell a ton of products with olive blossom and rosemary mint not to mention the euclyptus spearmint.. OYE... now where am I going to get those from.. hopefully I will find someone that carries something close to hers... I did manage to grab some cupid.. that is a great seller for me also.

Becki - Bizzy B did mine - super fast and great to work with I would recommend her to anyone.

OMG Bunny - I thought you were joking.. I never heard such a thing..

Very nice.. you got the swirl thing goin' on... Whenever I add TD.. I add it to my lye water right before I am going to pour it in the oils - but hit it with my stick blender first - seems to work well that way.. hth

Wow - very impressive tutorial. I have admired these and always wondered how they were done.. Thanks for sharing. What is that your leveling the top off with?
-
LOL Bruce, my husband would agree with you on that one.. :rolleyes2
-
Very nice.. Let me know if you still need more testers, I will do it for you also.
-
OMG - if anyone would be willing I would love to get 300-400 of these
but the shipping to me is just about what it would cost me for the products.. that is crazy!!!!! (if I got 300 and had a product total of 18.00 - the shipping is 16.58 )

I live on the wrong side of the country - all the fun and good stuff happens on the east coast.. :rolleyes2

For what it is worth, we had our house inspected a year or so ago, and the inspector told us that those are the one of the main causes of house fires..

Okay that makes sense - I thought there might be other reasoning factors.... thanks for the reply..

I am going to be doing a recipe to use up some of my oils that need to be used (taking a break from inventory today) and I have some shea oil... does that have the same values as shea butter? The calc only has the shea butter option.. TIA
-
why not use extra virgin? I dont recall that I have heard this before..
-
Carmen, I like it much better with the prices showing.. the pictures look alot better too.. Very nice...
-
Carmen, good for you - I know how much hard work it is to do what your doing.. One of the first things that sticks out to me, is your pictures seem dark and need to be cleaned up - I can see where you tried to white out area, and it looks like a lot of scribbles.
I am not sure yet about the creating an account to get wholesale pricing... and if you think about it, I dont know of any other companies that require that - not that I can think of anyway.. I dont know that I would take the time to create an account, just to see the prices and then determine if I want to place an order or not.. That of course is just MO... I am impressed with what you have done.. you go girl!

Oh I know you were just joking with me..
I typically havent gotten into the effort I have this year.. but that goes to show how overwhelmed I felt. - and dang it - I am missing out on my play time... ... out of bad comes good.. !
Sesame Seed Oil
in General Soap Making
Posted
Can you use the pure Sesame Seed Oil in soaps? It is a dark oil.. I have a couple larger sized bottles that Randy got me thinking I could use them in soap and I dont have a clue, and didnt want to make it sound like he got the wrong stuff, when he was being thoughtful like that..
So if it can't be used is CP - is there another use for it that anyone knows of.. TIA.
