1. Now turn on your mixer with the whipping blade attached. Mix on low speed; slowly drizzle the wet ingredients . You are going to mix this until it looks like whipped frosting. At this point you can add ½ tsp of water if you need to – to have it look like icing.

I was trying all day to think of things to decorate these guys with... Any other ideas?
-
4. Now we will weigh out our wet ingredients. Use your scale and place your paper cup on the scale. Tare the scale so it zero’s out Weigh out your fragrance oils, water. Make sure that your weights are exact on the oils and water. Add your colorant. I use about a ½ tsp of dye, but everyone’s colorant will be different. Make sure you right down how much you used to compare next time you make them. Stir all together to combine all ingredients well. Take a spoon and stir well.

I think its ok, they are fun colored no matter what they are. I was thinking you could take a little hard butter.. Cocoa , Kukum and shredd it on top , like coconut... Just for decoration (Like Coconut)
Monica, I was planning on making Lavender bombs, so I colored it lavender. Then as it was mixing I looked down at my work table and noticed some new fo's I had just gotten in, so I grabbed the Day Star Coconut Pear" and used that. I know the color is wrong, but what the heck, I wanted to see what the coconut pear would smell like. -
3. If you haven’t done so yet. Grind up your Epson salts to a fine powder. Add the rest of the dry ingredients into your mixing bowl. Whip again for a minute.

Cream of Tarter is a stablizer, Meringue powder is what makes the icing hard... I dont think the cream of tarter will harden. It might. But Other than using real egg white's I dont know.

That would be great. As long as it is butter consistency. I made Coffee bombs and Carmel chocolate frosting.. Yummieeeeeeeeeeeeeee… It smells so wonderful in here. I substituted a 1/2 cup of cocoa for some of the milk and cornstarch.
-
How do you not eat those... Yummy looking Ö¿Ö

The batch makes about 28.0Z of Icing. It should be perfect for 12 cup cakes. You will have 2.3 0Z for each cup cake. So put one cupcake on the scale and pipe on about 2.0Z on top of your cupcake. Then you have an example of how the rest should look. If you want thick tall whipped topping- 3-4 inches high , double the recipe. Please show pictures of them....Ö¿Ö

What tool do you have? I think the paddle would work, but I dont know abou the dough hook. I would invest in one..
What if you only have a stand mixer with no whipping tool? This was very informative. TIA -
I have not broke one yet. But these guys are the hardest to do. You have to press them , press them , press them. I lay them down and use a pressing tool. I have my father help me. He has popeye arms... LOL
i want to say thanks too..i didn't get to make mine today, i am waiting on ingred...but i do have a question..
i have the plastic christmas orniment 2 piece ball..
how do you press these hard enough, without breaking them...
would i be better to get something else?
-
Good luck.. make sure to press them good! And have fun! Ö¿Ö
Thank you Monica for the class. I wasn't able to be here for the class but I think I'll try to make them tomorrow and let you know then if I have any questions. -
There is no reason you can't or should not use your kitchen aid for both. If you clean it thoroughly, there are no problems. It should be sterile every time. You can use a Wisk, but you will activate some of the ingredients if you wont Wisk fast enough. Maybe you can have someone pour the wet ingredients.
Gah! I'd forgotten about the class! Glad I can follow along. A question, though. I only have one KitchenAid. I'm assuming that I couldn't use it for food once I used it for BB's. Would a whisk and a strong arm replace the action of the KitchenAid or is the KitchenAid vital to getting good results from your bath bombs? Thanks much and can't wait for the frosting class tomorrow! You are awesome for doing this class! Thank you so much!

It should look like this. It should stick to the whipper blade, but not running that it falls off.
