"Why don't you make your own candles instead of buying them" said hubby 4 years ago.... lol. I bet he regrets it now I've been up till the early hours of the morning making them and had a full time job to go to. Started off selling to friends and workmates, now have an ebay shop and website. Spent an absolute fortune, took over the house and now have a workshop that hubby built for me to move all the candle stuff out to, but they still spill over into the odd cupboard in the house lol.

I got mine from our local DIY store, Homebase but I'm in the UK, that was only £20. I certainly wouldn't be without it now.

I've got Cierra Candles Lavender FO, not sure about it, the 2 bottles I had before this last one were great, really strong, not sure about this one, but it could just be me, spent days pouring and think I've killed my nose lol, can't smell much of anything

I got a sample pack of all the sizes on ebay, it was easier as I'm in the UK and would know what size I needed to suit my jars when I placed my order in the US. Have you tried ebay.com. I know they tend to be a bit dearer but I found it was the best way for me

Hi everyone
I have recently opened my website, that was the hard part, so I thought. Have a fair amount of products available. As I live in the UK, and as the rest of you know that suppliers for candlemaking are few and far between over here. I started with my shop on Ebay and so I'm bringing customers from there over to the website with just my candles and a few FO's. So I thought the next move would be to really get into the supplying side, ordered a load of FO's from the US. That was easy, now I need to get the customer's in, I've already listed as a supplier on a few community forums, am being an active member of every message board I can find and adding to details to search engines. Am I missing anything? Oh, nearly forgot had adverts on ads by Gooooogle too.
I'm not expecting overnight miracles and realise that building a business isn't an instant thing. I just need to know that I'm heading in the right direction
Any help really appreciated

Have to agree with Breanna there I've just opened my website up using http://www.diyestores.com they're very helpful and are ideal for prim sites as you can buy the graphics there too. You don't really need to have a great knowledge of html as you can get loads of help from the support team.

They look great Vicky, I've just started using the centering tools as well, I bought a load from the US as no one was stocking them in the UK. I certainly wouldn't be without them now. I haven't seen the ones for tealights but will certainly be looking out for them when I do my next mass order

LOL I had someone complain about pillars that burned almost to the edge, when I explained that was how a well made candle should burn, they replied they just wanted one that burned down in the center. Think I should send them to buy some of those ones then.
