  1. I'm a big girl didn't take offense to your comment at all:p. She asked me and I didn't know the answer so I posted the question for her. I'm a wick girl, like the ambiance a flame gives to a room.
  2. Does anyone here use the simply soy wicks sold at WSP? What is your feed back if you use them? Tasha
  3. If you go to www.greenleafcandlesupply.com they have instructions on how to make it. It is something that I am also looking into for sachets.
  4. I understand it's a candle without a wick:) . Do you use more fragrance oil?, or is the process the same as making a candle with a wick. I'm thinking that since you are not burning it and the wax doesn't go away it would be a slightly different process.
  5. How do you make wickless candles? I have a friend interested in making them.
  6. Hey I am also testing on the 9oz balmoral. It was suggested for me to use HTP 83 for this particular jar. I just ordered some smokeless zink wicks from WSP to try in this jar also. Lets keep in touch to compare notes.
  7. Ok, I got the coconut oil last night. The type of wax I am using is GB 444 and Enchanted lite soy/veg. I have seen some frosting with the GB 444 on the few testers that I have made but not a whole lot. I am going to redo them with coconut oil.....
  8. How much coconut oil should be used per pound of wax. Does the type of wax matter?
  9. Thanks. I thought the wick looked kind of small. For whatever reason I remember this being the suggested size. Maybe I read it wrong :embarasse . I am going to put this on the warmer and re-wick with an 83. I have another to test that I used an ECO-4 in that I'm going to light right now. I'll Post about that one later. Tasha
  10. How much coconut oil should I use? I used uv inhibitor and not vybar 260. Tasha
  11. Here are some pictures of a test candle that I made on 10/22. didn't have time to burn and watch it properly until today. Wax - Peaks gb 444 wick - htp 41 from Peaks f/o - 1 oz peaks white tea and ginger jar - 9oz balmoral add. - vybar 260 dye - (chip) maple added @ 180 deg. poured @ 144.1 These are the problems that I have encountered: 1) frosting around the bottom of the candle. 2) small holes and air pockets around the wick. This is the best pic. that I could get. 3) first hr of burning this is the biggest the burn pool had gotten. Couldn't find measuring stick to measure how deep it was. 4) after burning for 4hrs. The burn pool did get a little wider and got just got deeper. I followed Peaks instructions for processing because I got the wax, wicks and f/o from them. I see that everyone has different processing techniques for thier supplies. Could someone give advice please. Tasha
  12. Yeah I tried them they don't have the 5oz.
  13. Can someone tell me who sells 5oz mason jars. I have an idea for next years holiday season and these will work great. Thanks in advance.
  14. Does anyone know the measurements of labels for the clamshells (6 cavity)?
  15. I am experimenting with tarts. I have the clear tea light containers and wanted to know about the wax and wicks for tea lights. Do I have to purchase a special wax to make the unscented tea lights? I have a bunch of c-e wax that I am not going to use to make candles and figured that i could probably use it to make unscented tea lights. Would the "low smoke zinc soy tea light wick" from Whole Sale Supplies Plus be a good wick?
  16. I spoke to Mike at greenleaf and he said that they still sell them you just have to call your order in. For whatever reason a lot of their jars are not showing on the website. Try these sites www.glassware4gellin.com www.fairwayglass.us
