    well when I weigh a new bottle of FO it comes out to be .265 if that helps... my scale button says zero/tear...so must be the same forgot to mention I also tried a non digital scale just to see and I get the same thing..

    I put the container on, then zero it. so when I start pouring the FO, it is at zero.

    with a digital scale. I make sure that I zero it outbefore I weigh.

    ok what am I missing..I have 2oz bottles of FO and when I weigh 1oz out of them, there is a 1/4 or less of a bottle left. I have a 1oz FO from natures gardens and when I weigh it, it comes only to 1/2 oz...whats up?

    I started making votives/tea lights and everything seems to be going ok... what is the next easiest thing to do? pillars, containers....

    Ok I am using IGI 4794 which they say Working/pouring temperatures should be in the range of 165 to 185 deg. with a second pour temp of around 195. I found some FO that says the flashpoint is 128, 135, 120...does this mean I can't use these FO in this wax? I also found FO with 200..what if on the second pour melting, the temp gets to 201 or so. Does that mean it will catch on fire?

    can't you use the left over pieces and use it as samples to give to your customers (if you sell) when they buy other scents? Just a suggestion...

    well this answer is probably in front of my face, but don't see it. Do you use 1oz volume or 1oz weight of FO per pound of wax.... (volume or weight) ?

    after reasearching the boards, I am still confused about wick pins. if you use them how do you insert the wick in the candle (ie: votive) after the candle has hardend.
