  1. I see Scriptina all the time.. in fact, I get as many requests for that font as I do Papyrus and Feltpoint. Papyrus is a classic, and everyone loves it. While a font CAN set a label apart, if the design is done well, the design itself will set the label apart regardless of what font is used. I'd be worried if I did text only labels/logos ;)

Yes, Scriptina is being used more and more these days (you are right), BUT not nearly as much as Papyrus. I wouldn't be worried at all about using "text only labels"...I personally use them and my candles set my products apart and are not overpowered by the label...which is how I want it to be. It all boils down to personal preference.

  2. I personally think the first is better...if it was toned down a bit. The name looks too much like a neon sign...maybe get rid of the outlines? The second one is too general...looks like everyone else's logos. The papyrus font is WAY overused these days. Just about everywhere I look...someone is using that font. Scriptina on the other hand is fairly new and you just don't see it that often.

I say go with the first one...it sets you apart from the rest. ;)

  3. You don't have to pay the minumum or have a tax ID, if you buy from their eBay store...just a thought. :)

I have bought those for the pint size about a year ago from them and they are really nice. I asked about a jelly jar size, but they told me they didn't have any...but, like I said...that was a year ago, maybe they have them now. :)

  4. Thanks to everyone for your help. I have decided to keep the square kraft labels on these jars and just change around the label to make my logo match on both. I think it is best this way, as I do have many customers who want a "country" looking candle, as well as wanting something a little more neutral, like my new hex jars. :)

  5. OK...now that you all helped me choose the marble label for my new hex candles. I need to decide if I should leave my pint and jelly jars with the kraft label or if I should make them into the white marble, as well? Here is what they would look like with the white marble...what do you all think? And, if you like this better than the kraft...should I choose round or square??

  6. OK...so I am going with the white marble...NOW...I have a new dilemma!

What do I do with the pint and jelly jar candles I have? I really don't think that label with look good on those jars? Maybe the same look on a circle label for those? Or should I keep them with the kraft labels?

  7. I agree...I think the keyhole is too large. It takes away from everything else. I think I would maybe have the door in the background...try a fadeout from right to left and then add the text on top. I love playing with labels, changing them in and out is the fun part! (for me anyway LOL)

With such a great (and unique) name...you deserve an equally unique label to go with it. :)

  8. I was asked to donate a prize to a local gala. The prizes will be raffled off and the proceeds put into a scholarship fund. I have agreed, but am now thinking...is there something I should get in writing (like a receipt/contract) for the donation?

I consider this to be great advertising, but do I leagally need something in writing?

  9. Really? For some reason the white looked a little on the "cheesy" side to me...but, I am so used to the kraft labels...my brain must be warped! LOL

The tan does blend a bit with that color of candle...but, on a red or white candle...what then??
