Thanks Lezli...maybe I should see if anyone wants to go in with me on an order? Any takers? PM me if interested!

After my Colonial Tin problem...I am looking at ordering from Levine. Is the $100 minimum order for EVERY order or just the first order? For everyone that has ordered from them...I would love some answers. TIA!

Gosh...I hadn't even heard of this until now. And those punched tin ones are pretty popular too! I think I may have to find somewhere else to get my burners?
-
I just had a customer tell me their electric punched tin tart burner they bought from me had a problem. They said the coating/paint on the inside of the burner tray (where you place the tart) was peeling away and falling off and that she could see the metal under it.
Has anyone else here had this happen or heard of this??
I will be contacting Colonial Tin on Monday...
ANYONE??

Me too! Ordered yesterday and got a shipping notice last night! Peak's is AWESOME!

Thanks...I too have been a designer for over 15 years and am my own worst critic, as well.

Very nice! Great job.
And PrairieAnnie...I'm from Nebraska (originally) and I thought the same thing he-he. The Sandhills, Sandhill Cranes, Sandhill Publishing...it's a Nebraska thing. LOL

Would stearic help with being able to use 6006 for tarts? And, by "picky with large containers"...how large?

Doesn't anyone want to help me...purty please?

I use IGI 4786 and am in love with it. But, recently decided to try out a Paraffin/Veggie Mix wax (IGI 6006).
My question is...since this new wax is much softer and will not be good for tarts (I use 4786 for containers and tarts with much success)...would adding stearic to it make it hard enough to make tarts with? If so, how much would you recommend per pound?
Secondly, I also thought about mixing the new wax 1/2 and 1/2 with the 4786...what do you all think about that?
I'd love to hear all of your input on this...and if any of you have any experience with IGI 6006? TIA!

I have two from walmart and they both work great! Mine were found near the candles and were $4.94 each.

I have a friend that is a distributor for Enchanted Lites and says everything is top notch...BUT, I totally agree with Alex (topofmurrayhill) on this one...they go WAY overboard with the wax issue.

Thanks...the shelving unit at Big Lots is meant to be a plant stand...pretty cool eh?
I'm always thinkin'!

Those look cute with the tags...I'm printing mine up, as we speak and am putting an antique jack-o-lantern on the front of the tag, with that cute poem on the inside. Then, I'll put the scent on the back.

This show is a big deal, as it has gone on for many years and is held by the American Lung Association. There are about 280 booths and it is held in the Kansas ExpoCentre in Topeka. So, it is inside (wouldn't want to do an outside show LOL).
I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO...and have to set up tomorrow UGH! Looks like it's going to be a late night, once again. (he-he)
I'll take pics at the show and let ya'll know what happens. Thanks again for your input!

I got my pumpkin jars with metal hats at Big Lots. BUT, be advised...I went one day and they had a bunch, so I only grabbed 5 or 6. When I went back the next time...they only had about that many left...SO they are going like hotcakes!
The best part was they were only $1.99 each.
And thanks WildAngel112 for the poem...looks like I'll be printing that up tonight...

WELL...I just got back from a trip to buy some more goodies for my booth setup.
I bought three fall leaf garlands to intertwine throughout the tables (one on top to replace the green ivy garland). Some fall leaf sprigs to add to the berry arrangements on top.
This is SO exciting...I can't wait to actually set it up at the show.
Thanks again everyone for your kind words.

The crates were built by my hubby (at my request)...they were VERY easy to put together, as I watched him do it.
The corner shelving unit was bought at Big Lots for a mere $15.99...CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I saw it and could just think of the things I could do with it. Then I added the peg board onto the sides of it to hang my bags of tarts/melts.
I want to thank all of you for your inspiration...when you are setting it up at home, you really need another's perspective.
-
Care to pass along the poem?
-
Just wondering how all of you are labeling your pumpkin jars? I'll have the warning on the bottom...but, any ideas on how to add my label? I was thinking maybe a hang-tag?
-
It really helps me to set it up at home and then take pics of it...then I just print them out and take them with me. Makes setup MUCH faster.
-
Thanks again...I'm taking a lot more than what you see on the tables. Just wanted to give the customers a chance to see everything...I have MUCH more that will be ready and waiting to be added as items sell.
-
Do you think I should use those ivy strands? I thought maybe I would switch them out with some fall leaves?

Wow...each time I hear a story like this it amazes me. Everywhere I go, I open up jar candles to check out the wick and to take a sniff LOL...I can't believe the terrible quality of most...just goes to show how AWESOME handmade candles are and the work that goes into them.
