I was ordering some things from chemistry store and decided just for the fun of it try their crystal jelly soap..

it was quite a new experience I don't know if I will do it again but I'm sure my grandchildren will enjoy this first endeavor with it

the color I used in the one I made at Valentines time and this one today I used true red from organ trails it is a liquid I did not have any problem with bleeding or migration into the white areas..

I think I'm going to email Susan at oregon trail and ask her about her gel colors

it's basically like the one I made for Valentines Day but I did change it up some I think I even like this one better

I am just really playing with M&P...so far..but i am enjoying it.

But what type of colorants are the best, if you are using clear soap, 

but you want to add a slight color, and it still be clear.

I first started out making candles and about 7 or 8 months later was so intrigued by soapmaking I jumped in that too and I've loved every minute of it.

And I have some from NG but have not tried it yet..

also tkb has some great non bleeding micas..

I did not at the time. It was my first experience with soap with a "Life of the Party" melt and pour soap kit. I also picked up a red soap color at ACMoore to make the pink dots with in a clear purple tinted M&P. The kit came with a green and gold mica and they were GORGEOUS! I have a stash I just got last week of 3 different shades of blue and a green. I'm REALLY excited to try them!

Try spritzing rubbing alcohol on top of your soap right before covering..and try not to peek until it has set for awhile. .

I gel my soaps..so it is several hours before I unwrap..i don't normally get ash..but when I do..i just embrace it..lol..

I think some fo's are just prone to ash..
