  1. You stated KY 125 the new improved version. I could be wrong, but I don't think the new version is KY 125 it is the Perfect Blend. Also, you cannot go wrong with the customer service at KY. Vickey is really great to work with.

I will have to agree with what you heard about Bluegrass being slow at times. But it is been a while since I ordered so don't know how they are now.

I have never purchased from Tennessee Candle so can't say one way or another about them.

Maybe purchase a sample from both KY and Bluegrass since they are closer to you and see which you like the best.

    Good luck.

  2. I read where you can keep milk powder in the freezer. Then after reading that I was told that when keeping it in the fridge or freezer that it should be kept in an airtight container to protect it from oxidation and moisture. I have had mine in the freezer for about 4 weeks. Do you think it has gone bad in that time period? How can you tell if it has gone bad? Also, when it has been in the freezer and you want to use it in milk bath, can you use right out of the freezer immediately or should you let it get to room tempature before mixing? Thank you.

  3. I thought I had some bags at home to package samples of bath salts and milk bath in but can't find them. I remember reading about Walmart having some type of small plastic bags but can't remember which ones they are, crafts section or party section. Can someone tell me which bags to buy from Walmart to put bath salts/milk bath in? Thanks.

Edited: I finally found a post on here that says you should not use the bags from Walmart. I was wanting to work on the milk bath and salts this weekend and bag up. Guess I will have to wait and order some bags.

  4. Does anyone know if the sodium laural sulfoacetate that Majestic Mountain Sage sales is the same as SLSa? I sent an e-mail 3 or 4 days ago and no response and I just called them and got voicemail and it didn't sound like I could leave a message. What I want it for is to make my bath salts bubbly. From the description it sounds like it is what I want. Thank you.

  5. Everyone, thank you for the information. When I called I asked if they sold bulk dead sea salt and was told yes and it was .19 per pound and that they had fine and course. I went to the store to look at it. It is not sold in bulk, packaged in pound bags, only fine and it said sea salt not dead sea salt. I was given wrong information over the telephone.

  6. I found a local health food store where I can buy bulk course dead seal salt for.19 cents per pound. I did a search on their website and found the brands they carry which are La Baleine and Frontier. When I did a Google on these brand names it looks like they are for cooking with. Here shows my stupidity regarding sea salts. Are there sea salts for cooking and a different kind used in bath salts or are they all the same?
