Sounds like they are very cute. Can't wait to see the pictures.

For those of you who have a Sam's Club close to you, I was at our local one yesterday and they had a package of 7 little bears (3 cream color, 3 light brown, and 1 really dark chocolate brown) in sweaters for I think $13.96 or something close to that. I'm thinking they must have been about 5" or 7" tall sitting down. I don't dip bears so not sure if this is a good price or not. Just thought I would share.

In no order they are:
Lilac
Apple Pie
Orange Chiffon
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
can't think what the fifth one would be.

Not sure where you purchased your blanks from but I found information on Oak Court Creations website on how to decorate/color. Here is the link: https://www.oakcourtcreations.com/productcart/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=24
Good luck.

If you are reading this again, sorry but I posted it in the wrong place.
Has anyone tried both KY's and Bluegrass Oatmeal Raisin Cookie in soy? I currently use Bluegrass and need to order but see that they are on a five day shipping schedule and in addition to being closed for Thanksgiving, will be closed next Wednesday as well. I really need the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie before the week after Thanskgiving. Since I have to order from KY thought about ordering hers but have not tested their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie yet. Any reviews on KY's vs. Bluegrass. Thanks.

What did you do to the hat to get it red?

I searched for Zanesville pottery and found the following link for their festival. On the site it list who was at the festival and there are 2 or 3 other pottery places in Zanesville. Don't know if they have anything you would want but here is the link:

Not sure where in Ohio you are located but have you looked at Ohio Candle Company's website? http://www.ohiocandle.com/ They are located in Piketon, OH. If you live close enough I would go in and look around. I'm thinking the last time I was there they even had one or two more designs on pottery that is not on the website. I asked the lady if you could mix and match and she said at the time you could but didn't know if the owner would ever change that or not. HTH.
Edited to say I can't remember if the above link is wholesale or not so you may want to call or e-mail them to find out.

I would love to get your instructions. I'm in no hurry.
Thanks,

Tracy with Gaskill Graphics did mine and I'm really pleased with them. She has several different sizes and types of labels. Here is her link on eBay http://stores.ebay.com/Bath-and-Body-by-Tracy_Custom-Labels_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQftidZ2QQtZkm . Just click on one of the labels and you can see what types she has.

If you will be at a place that will let you burn a candle, you may want to take a few extra of the scent you will be burning because some people tend to purchase what you are burning. Just a thought. Good luck.

I saved the following from previous post I have read that told how to get a true red. Have not tried them yet:
1. When it comes to red I think I have figured it out! I use J223 and if you want a bright bold red here's my recipe, for three pounds of wax I use 14 drops of red to 3 drops of orange...yup you read that right. The orange takes the pink out of the red and makes it a fire engine red. HTH
2. I don’t know what wax you're using, but a mix of red and brown works for me. I use scarlet color block and brown diamond chip. I usually go about half and half, but more scarlet will give you a brighter red, more brown darker.
3. Someone on here told me to try cinnamon red chips, I use 1 1/2 chips per #, if I want to get a darker red for my baked apple FO I put approximately 1/8 gram black with it. I love this because it is so simple and I can get a consistent color. I use soy/j223. HTH
4. I use liquid dyes and I add 1 drop of yellow for eachpound of wax. It helps get the pink out.
5. I use a red block from Candlewic, and a little burgundy color block. I use 50/50 soy/J223.

I was asked yesterday if I would be interested in setting up a table to sell my candles at a women's exercise place. Can't think of the name of it but it is the one where you are on one machine for I think 3 minutes then switch to the next machine. Has anyone ever sold at a place like this? If so, was it worth your time? The manager wants women to come in and sell their product around Christmas time. It is not a craft fair. You can set up on any day for how long you want. If you go to one of these type places to work out, what day would you think would be busier with more women showing up?
Thanks,
Donna B.

I have the following websites saved from reading about them on other post:
http://www.stonestewsouth.com/fixens/
http://www.rachelspotpourri.com/store/Default.asp
http://www.outofthebarnprimitives.com
http://www.candlesbathandpotpourri.com/
a couple of them have already been mentioned. They may make them unscented for you. Good luck.

What if you had some of the long flat storage tubs and put them in there to carry and then you could label on the ends of the tubs what was in each one. You could even cut cardboard the length of the tub and put in between each scent to divide them. I don't make these so have no idea if scents would transfer from one to another in the tubs or if the tub would suck the scent out of the closed clam shells. Just a thought. Good luck on the show.

I am going to make some Christmas tarts and need to do a little painting on them. I have never painted candles before. I assume you need paint just for candles. If so, where can you purchase it from? Thanks.

If you can't find the snowman jar at your Dollar General Store, last couple of years Walmart and Michael's both sold them. If I remember correctly they were like $1.50 each.

I did my first fall show this past weekend and had bagged potpourri. Did not sell any. Got me to thinking maybe I should have it to where they can scoop it and bag at the table. Curious how everyone does it. Bag it or have it in a container with scoop and bag as they purchase it.

If you read this on KY's message board, sorry for the duplication.
Am I correct in the order I have these wicks burning hottest in? If not, please correct me:
51 cotton being least hottest
HTP 83 next hottest
60 cotton next hottest
HTP 104 next hottest
62 cotton next hottest
HTP 105 hottest
Thank you.

I have to finish pouring for a show on the 22nd or I will not be going.

They are very pretty. I like the frosted tumbler. I had one and poured a candle with color and was very pretty. Thinking about adding that jar to my line.

The nearest store to me is two hours away but in two weeks I am going to a wedding out of state and will be going right by one. Never been to their store. I'll have to add that stop to my trip.
