I was at Garden Ridge yesterday and they had these cute individual muffin cups that were coated all over with a glaze except on the bottom outside. Do you think these would be okay to pour candles in? I am going to try one but thought I would get someone elses opinion. TIA.

Can you use mica colors in bath salts? I am thinking about getting in on the mica co-op. It says that the neon colors are not cosmetic-grade safe so may not be used in cosmetics, but they are great for soap. I assume if you can color bath salts with mica that since they can be used in soap that it is safe to use mica in bath salts? Thanks.

Count me in. I would like to see articles on wholesale, and tips on setting up displays at shows because I am not very creative.

I do not sell enough yet to purchase by pallet. I purchase my jars from Alabaster in KY and am lucky that I can drive to pick them up. I use the 8 oz. dodecagon jar that cost .79 cents each and the 16 oz. apothecary with flat lid that cost $1.43 each.

I really like it but have one question. If you are on the inside, how do you keep an eye on everything on the outside? Great display.

I would love to read your information on wholesaling.

I hate to say it but I have been dragging my feet for the past two months when it comes to making candles. Just cannot get motivated. Now it is crunch time because I need to re-stock my booth and also pour some samples. I will have to make myself get to the basement this weekend.

Looks like Tony's which is in Georgia is the closest which is about a six hour drive from Orlando.

Very very nice. Can't see why they would not sell.

You will find several pictures on here if you do a search for booth display. Once you do your search you will have to click on each one because not all have pictures. The reason the search brings up post without pictures is the words booth display is in the post. You might want to also search on the archives.

If you have a Kinkos copy center close to you, check with them. I purchased a vinly banner from them for a booth I have at a craft mall. It was around $20.00 for a 4' or 4 1/2' long by 12" high. They made it while I waited. If you don't have a Kinkos maybe other copy centers make them.

The Candle Cauldron has a page that shows several different gatherings. Looks like there is one in AZ and TX. Here is the link: http://www.candlecauldron.com/gatherings.html

A couple of years ago I was standing right in front of a candle supplier and they were trying to get people to dip their fingers in a "burning candle". No lie. I could not believe my eyes. I thought if your going to do something like that at least put the flame out.
-
Very nice. Like the colors.

Tracy from Bath and Body by Tracy also does graphic design and prints labels. She is great to work with and has foil labels. She will send you samples. Here is her web address: http://www.bathandbodybytracy.com/

I tried pm'ing you and I also clicked in your profile to e-mail you and it says you are not accepting e-mails. Yes, I meant to post on the message board on Bluegrass website. You can also do a search on each of the oils you are interesed in and see what people have said on the Bluegrass board about them.

You might get more responses if you post your question on the Bluegrass message board. I only use one of their FO's. In the fall I sell a lot of their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie.

We pay $120 month for a 10 x 10 space. If you want walls you have to pay for the material and put them up yourself. They do not hold out any commission. It is month to month. Get a check once a month. Have to stock it ourself and keep it clean. They pay the sales tax and you turn it in when you file your taxes. They hire their own employees so we do not have to work there. Good luck.

Look in your telephone book (yellow pages) and see if there is a local packing supplier near you. I was able to purchase a very large bag for like $18.00 and it was way more then what you would get at an office supply store for the same dollar amount. It was so large that it would not fit inside my truck so I had to tie it down in the bed of the truck to keep it from blowing out. When the man told me to tie it down I must have looked at him like he was crazy because he said yes it will blow out of there.

If you posted it I overlooked it. Approx. how many ounces does that little bucket hold?
-
That is very pretty. Great job.
-
Those are really cute. I knew I had seen those buckets someplace but could not remember. Does the top of the wax look like coconut? I have misplaced my glasses and I can't really tell what it is but to me it looks like shredded coconut then the jelly beans on top of it.
Oops. I just went back and read that it is coconut not grass.

I know it is not near the west cost but Wholesale Supplies Plus has the 16 oz. frosted apotho jar with lid $6.00 for a dozen and 6 oz. frosted jar without lid on surplus. Maybe with the jar being on sale that would help with the cost of shipping. They are located in Ohio. Here is the link to the surplus jars: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/Product.aspx?Tab=4&CatalogID=9&GroupID=587&CatalogTitle=0&CategoryID=1383&CategoryName=++Surplus+%26+Limited+Edit

Go to the public library and check out books. I do it all the time just to get ideas.
