  1. You can omit the salt, use fine grain sea salt or grind up the salt so it will dissolve faster. I love Carmen's Silky Suds recipe under the recipe section. LOADS of long lasting bubbles!!
  2. I made a forever palm pillar and it melted with the tealight Lisa (jakalex) told me to mix glass glow with my starburst to raise the melt point so they won't melt. I will try another one adding the glass glow. Yours are gorgeous!!!
  3. Lisa, you amaze me with your palm candles. I mixed some glass glow and starburst. I think you are the one who recommended it. Mine came out with that same look on the front. I thought it was cool as hell Beautiful as always!!
  4. Absolutely LOVE it, I can even see leaves (or it is late and I am seeing things lol) Maybe when I grow up, I can make candles like this
  5. How big (wax wise) are the snowman jars? I really love all of them and now have to make a trip to dollar tree. See what you have created
  6. How about just adding 1/2 tsp msm powder (used by atheletes for sore muscles) and 1/2 tsp emu oil to a body butter base or thick lotion base? I have made this before and it helps with sprains, sore muscles and even arthritis pain. Walgreens sells a product called Blue Emu and looking at the ingredients, that is basically what they have done to that product as well. http://www.blue-emu.com/
  7. I absolutely agree!!! I even told a couple other gals about it. They bought it and said they can't believe the texture. They LOVED it too!! I think it has made all the difference in my products. I tried several other things from there and they were all great. Thanks for posting this supplier creative. I will be buying my supplies there from now on!!
  8. www.texasnaturalsupply.com Creative Body Essentials mentioned this site in the shea post. I ordered from them and very pleased with what I received. I placed my order at night and received shipping notice the next day. I actually bought just about everything on your list lol I use the "buttercream" recipe vs. the holy grail but I do want to try the holy grail just to see how they compare.
  9. Clear low profile jars: http://tinyurl.com/3cza6x Silver plastic lid for the jars: http://tinyurl.com/2ntekp The chemistry store carries the lids as well but not the clear low profile jars.
  10. Thanks for the clarification. When I saw the 3 inch diameter, I was thinking this is the diamter of the opening like the wide mouth masons. It doesn't take much to confuse me sometimes :embarasse
  11. How about a "wax gremlin" line since they are halloween melts? You can always have a little blurb that the wax gremlins were mischevious but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't take the incredible fragrance away. You can have another basket of the "halloween fairy" melts stating that the halloween fairy helped keep the gremlins at bay and here are the pretty melts......or something to that effect. Just get creative to get their attention. At least this way, you can have fun joking about the ones that didn't come out exactly as they should and sell them too.
  12. Ohhhh I didn't even think of my palm wax. I bet that would look like frost or frozen snow on the tips. Thanks for the idea!!!
  13. Candle Science has the square mason jars. I noticed that they state the jelly jar lids will fit these jars BUT......how can that be? Jelly jars have a 2.75 inch diameter and it is stated the square masons have a 3 inch diameter (like the wide mouth masons). I have the jelly jar lids from CS for my jelly jars I used to make and they are too small for my wide mouths. I am totally confused. Where can I get the lids that fit?
  14. Ummmm WHAT Friday? I can stalk these gals for the board since I am just about an hour far from Hoptown myself. hehehehe
  15. If you do a google search of your ingredients in question, you would find: Trade Name Euxyl PE 9010 INCI Name Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin Description Innovative cosmetic preservative based on phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin. Applications Leave-on products If you also searched the trade name after finding this, you would see that it isn't sold in the US. It is being used overseas.
  16. I have been making monster spray but the funniest request I had was when a woman asked me for a "Frog be gone" spray. She said her son was terrified of frogs and thought it would be the perfect thing for him. I made some for her lmao I guess we can always put anything on a label that the child is afraid of just for that child's peace of mind
  17. Any sugar scrub should have a preservative in it because it will come in contact with wet hands/water. There are several great recipes for sugar scrubs on the recipe forum. Salt Scrub recipes can also be used and just substitute sugar for the salt.
  18. I use ALOT of JS oils in 70/30 and 50/50 blends with awesome results. Celicagtca gave you a great list. They are having a sampler sale this week too. If I get an order in by 2 est, my order is shipped the same day. Awesome service! I am having a drool affair with the vanilla buttercream crunch right now
  19. Actually, this wax has a 2% additive which allows for hotter pour temps. The recommended pour temp is 125 - 145. Did you use a thermometer? Was the wax thick or thin when you poured? I use the 444 which is similar, just a higher melt point. I have poured anywhere from 120 up to 150 and never had tops set up like that. I will be curious to see what helps fix the issue.
  20. I have ordered packaging from them. By comparing the ingredients, I have found another supplier who carries my most popular bases and a couple other items that is closer to me. I have compared the products to know they are the same as well. They just have different names for the product. High shipping from California cuts into my profits and that isn't a good thing lol I calculated costs between the two suppliers. It would have taken ordering 6 gallons of bases to save money for me. When I buy in bulk like that, it is worth the cost difference though. Whether it is worth my patience for the UPS man to get here are two different things though lol
  21. JS Mac Apple for me. It is knock you down, fill up your whole house strong in my parasoy. I LOVE it!!
  22. Judy, you sure you don't want to swing through Nashville? I could give you my "wish list" so I could save on shipping too
  23. Don't feel bad Debra. Out of the gazillion pumpkin scents I have tried, I can't find a "true" one either. My favorite out of everything I have tried was the pumpkin souffle from CS. I even went as far as buying a can of pumpkin and pumpkin pie filling just to see what it smells like so I can tell if my smeller is just "off" lmao
  24. I have tried quite a few suppliers Pink Sugar. ICS is by far my favorite. I don't have any problems with my lotions or body butter turning brown. I have some that I made back in June that are still just as pink as when I made them. I use the body spray and mixed up a batch in June as well. It is still just as strong as when I made it. Because of the vanilla content, it will turn soaps brown. I mixed up a batch of bath salts not long ago and they are sitting in a jar. I will watch them for a while to see what happens to the scent now. My candles have never discolored either. I have one that was made back in April. I found it in my "test box". It sure did cure well too lol
  25. Alabaster and Soy Candle are located in Louisville. I think that is the last leg of your trip before you cut over. Ky Candle is right outside Lexington too. I would be in trouble if I was making that drive. I would want to stop every where lmao
