  1. Yup, I think so too. Cute bow on the top
  2. Thank you for the site. It is very helpful. I think I am going to try the Crock Pot method. What kind of olive oil should I use. Is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil ok for infused oil?
  3. I love the little transparent windows on the soap packaging. Great job!
  4. Hi everyone, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. I am in the testing phase now and I have found several people who are interested. My question is, do you charge these people some money? I am thinking of charging them half price (just to cover some cost and shipping) and some nominal refundable deposit to encourage them to fill out a survey form. Is that OK?Should I charge more/less? TIA Celly
  5. I used monotype corsiva for the "creations" part, and the rest I don't really remember. My husband helped me on that part. I'll check with him
  6. Has anyone tried to make oil infusions at home?I am considering making calendula and chamomile infused oil to use for my healing salve and I would like some suggestions whether this is something you can do yourself. Thank you Celly
  7. Hi everyone, I accomplished a lot last night. Made a logo, made some monoi lotion bar (not pictured), mango body balms and lip balms, also packaged them. I think they looked pretty professional. What do you think? This is my first try at trying to market B&B stuff I made from scratch. I am sending these to a bunch of testers and hopefully they will like it. I definitely have the members of candletech to thank because I have learn so much from all of you. I love this board Celly
  8. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I can't wait ti try it out. One ingredient that I am missing is witch hazel. Where can I find that? TIA Celly
  9. I think I am going too. I have never been to a conference either so this will be a great learning experience.
  10. Hi everyone, I am thinking about going since it is close by. I am wondering if anyone has attended this conference in the past and can give me any advice whether it is worth it or not? What are the pros and cons? Here is a link to their site : http://www.chicagosoapandcandlemakers.com/ Thank you so much cellydaniel
  11. I just got my samples today. I tried Juicy, Lolita Lempicka, Happy Heart, and Strawberry Champagne. I used the Juicy in my Lotion Bar and I am satisfied with it. Love the sample price. Unfortunately, they don't have many fruity or bakery scents, mostly duplicates.
  12. Micas : www.tkbtrading.com (lots of selection and what I like they show a picture of how some of the micas will look on human skin) Butters and oils : www.oilsbynature.com (their essential oil is very pricey, I am not sure why) Supplier that has most of the things you need : camden-grey www.bestdeal.org MMS www.thesage.com HTH
  13. Thank you so much for the advice. I looked at the Conservatoire website and it has a lot of wonderful resources. I think I am going to wait and do more research before I attempt to make this at home. It seems pretty challenging. Right now, I am still a beginner so I'll wait until I have more experience and more money to buy a super precise scale
  14. I just got my first order of yellow shea from them. Yay!I put it on my skin and it is not too greasy. The smell is definitely there but it doesn't bother me. The shipping charge is not bad at all for 10 pounds.
  15. Hi everyone, I have seen some sites selling "making your own mineral make up kit". Some as low as $45+shipping and as high as $215 + shipping. Since I have heard many fabulous reviews about mineral make up, I am tempted to get a starting kit to make my own but I still have some worries whether I can do this or not. Has anyone tried making their own mineral make up?Is this something simple enough for beginners to try out?Any advice would be great. TIA Celly
  16. I have bought some homemade all natural lip balms for $2.00 including shipping.
  17. For me, I will choose body butter, lip balm, and body spray. Those are my essentials :smiley2:
