  1. Hi All-

I made up a bunch of Conversation Heart Soaps with MP soap for Valentine's Day. Not all of them soald for one and the boutique I had my products in closed down-so now I have about dozen of these left.... I had thought about possibly remelting the soaps and pouring them into a different mold/molds. Will this work or will I lose scent or lather?

    Thanks

  2. Thanks to everyone....not sure which way to go yet...I haven't actually tried the foaming milk bath yet so will have to do that first.......

I apologize for the delay in responding. I am just back after being hospitalized with some heart problems, but on the mend and getting better.

  3. Hi All-

Wondered if anyone is familiar with the Ginger Milk from Thymes???? I just received some foaming milk bath as a gift and it is scented with the above....I love it. The description states Lime, ginger and a hint of vanilla.

I did do a search to try and find Thyme's Ginger Milk. The only one I found that has a "dupe" is From Nature with Love. I see MMS has a Ginger Milk fragrance, but don't know if it's the same.

I wondered if anyone had tried the one from FNL? Or if anyone has tried other similar fragrances.

    Thanks for the help

  5. I love the Ylang Ginger!!!! I had not ordered much from them for a while and went back and ordered a few scents-I will be ordering more and more. The HOneymoon Romance is wonderful and I am really liking the Tayberry and Teakwood.......The Black Cherry Bomb is the bomb.......

  6. Thanks Beth-

I use CD's and CDN's mostly-I just looked them up and they are flat braid----so that helps....

What are htp's considered-all I see is cotton braid-I used to use those all the time and now only use the htp's once in a while.

I am try to wick some heart dishes and want to have the curl towards the sides and just couldn't remember which way the wicks curled..

  7. When you make this it says you need to refrigerate, but I wondered how long can it stay unrefigerated once made. May be a dumb question, but I thought about including this is a kids valentine's basket and want to make sure it's safe sitting out (won't liquify or anything) for any length of time.

    Thanks

  8. Hi there-

Anyone use this in soy???? I just got some of this scent and really like it in soap, but wondered what percentage you were using in soy???? I poured a tester at 8%, but I get a slight fuel smell. I know citrus FO's can do that-wondered if anyone used at a lower percentage with success.

    Thanks

  9. Yes, lack of bubbles would be a better description. I get a I may just try the castor oil. Do you think I could melt down the soaps I have and add some and then re pour them??? Or will remelting them ruin them?????

I will have to get some castor oil and then wait until my order of soap base gets here to try it out.

The soap gets creamy and works fine just doesn't have much for bubbles.

    Thanks

  10. hey Prairie Ann-

    I used

    8oz opaque soap base

    4 tbsp Soy oil

    4 tbsp milk powder

    4 tbsp oil

    4 tbsp honey

The original recipe called for olive oil, but I used the soy oil. The soap has a wonderful feel to it, nice and creamy and it "works", left my skin feeling very soft, I just didn't get a whole lot of lather.

    Thanks

  11. Hi all-

I have been experimenting with some MP recipes I found on this site and adding things such as oils and oatmeal, etc. Most of the recipes call for avacado oil or olive oil, etc. Since most of what I make is soy based I thought I'd use soy oil instead.

Has anyone tried using soy oil in mp soap or soaps in general?? How were your results? It seems as though the soaps aren't lathering that well and I wondered if it was the soy oil causing that-I used a mp base that normall lathers quite well.

    Thanks for any help
