  1. Thanks Meridith-

it seems I have a knack for choosing the difficult ones-I also use the 9oz hex jars. I haven't had this happen much-rarely, but to have these few at once. Usually, for me, if the wicking is off, I know fairly quickly as most of the burn will be crappy....I'll try bumping up the wicking to see. Of course I could cut back on FO too and see if that helps the burn--of course I don't want to lose throw either.....I have quite a few scents that I have had no trouble wicking in those jars.....just keep on a going and they'll get there...

    Thanks again.

  2. Hi there-

I have been having a similar problem, however, it seems mine will burn really well for the first 2-3 hours, great pool and throw and then when it hits that 2-3 hour mark (using 8oz square mason and KY125 and CD wicks) the melt pool will start to decrease and flame weakens. I have that happen now on 3 different test candles. It just seems odd that it would burn so well to begin with. I am afraid if I wick up I am going to have too quick or too hot of a burn.....I did not trim the wicks at all during the burns on any of these....I burned each one several times to see if it was a fluke or not---it happened each time....

Thanks for any words of wisdom out there.

  3. deanna-

I have not used those fragrances as of yet. I just started ordering from the about a month ago and love what I have gotten and tested so far. These are fantastic:

    J&J bedtime Bath

    Coffee caramel cream

    Cinnamon and Sandalwood

    Black raspberry vanilla

    Sunwashed Linen

    I use KY125.

    I am currently testing:

    Brandied fruit

    Sage and Citrus

    Starfruit and Mango

    Buttermint

    lemongrass

    Candy cane

Hope this helps some. I really like the oils I have gotten so far and Loren has been great to work with---quick on responding to questions and getting my orders out.

  4. Hi there-

it is quite solid-it's a nice product and I have only used it for lip balms so far, but have considered use as a gardener's salve as well. I would not offer it in a 4oz tin though-I would do 1 or 2oz...

I have only flavored it as I haven't found colorings for lip balm use-I know they are out there, but haven't sold or produced enough yet to want to purchase them

  5. I was doing some google searches and wasn't coming up with much except for those who have candles scented with it....they must have found it somewhere...unless they are an independent selling Mia Bella....it sure sounds like an interesting fragrance....

  6. Hey Scentsme-

I agree with you on ICS. Now she will be carrying Lebermuth oils-never tried them and have only read a little on them-couldn't find much, but some of them sound great!! She doesn't have sample packs for those yet, but most of them have a 1oz size and a decent price.....

  7. I have nothing against JS-Becky is very nice and has great service..it's just that her oils weren't working in my wax...or working well.....it happens. I am glad her supporters came out as well. She does have some wonderful fragrances and I will use up some of the samples I have in some B & B.

I use NG, ICS, KY and Scented Bean for most of my fragrances and have run across some that just don't work well. I am just now testing some from Candle Source and so far am loving the few I have tested and will be receiving more this week....and I agree, there is no 100% guarantee.

  8. Silky soy-

I did mention that I was pouring in candles and using KY125 in my first post....

I do appreciate everyone's views and opinions. I was hoping to find out if anyone had luck with any of those mentioned. I have a couple I may try yet, but have many more samples to test from other suppliers. I do use KY, just found Candle Source and will order from them again, am thinking about Millcreek. I do have quite a few from ICS that are wonderful and NG.

I will most likely use the samples I have left from JS-a lot of them-for some Bath N Body and see how they do....

    Thanks again everyone.....
