  1. If that is the scent I think it is, try Cedar and Saffron from Bitter Creek. To my nose they were one in the same.
  2. Stella. I thought the same thing but tried the ones Bitter Creek is now selling and I was surprised. The old wicks I had gotten were really thick and burned super duper hot, these actually burned cool but I still got a good melt pool and good hot throw from them. They are really thin, more like the ones Woodwick and Dayna Decker are using. I would have to say my candles burned cooler than if using a standard wick.
  3. I always found that wick screws shredded my wicks and for that reason never actually used them beyond a few tests. Wick plugs work far better because the hold the wick in place with no shred!
  4. Dan certainly hasn't changed. This is a man with no scruples about him. It is nothing new for him to pull this bullshit. I have been in this business long enough to see Missy go from great supplier to bottom of the barrel. Cape Coral was a joke from the get go and now Mr. Missy's? Good God Dan, if you are going to open a brand new business at least be wise enough to change your name! Or better yet, stop trying to capitalizing on your ex wife's name. I am sure Missy is real thrilled to have her name attached to yet another of your failures.
  5. None that I know of anymore. Not like the good old days I know Bitter Creek North and South both take checks by phone though. I have used that option with them in the past and it worked well.
  6. That sounds to me more like Perfect Pumpkin from Wick Your Wax. Bitter Creek North carries them. It has a smoother pumpkin smell without a lot of spices.
  7. True Mary Jane while growing is a deep bright green. Not dark like a hunter but more a true grass green. I would kick up the color a notch but love the candle!
  8. Try spritzing the layer before your next pour with rubbing alcohol. I've never had one come undone this way. This allows the layers to adhere to one another.
  9. Now that is hysterical! NO! A warning does not cover you from a lawsuit. I can sue joe blow for nothing at all. She needs to call an attorney and find out the truth! If this is an NG employee telling people that, shame shame on them! They should know better. And for the record, yes, I have insurance!
  10. Paraffin wax candles burn out then down. If you watch a soy candle burn they do it different. They burn down then out. Hope this clarifies this.
  11. I tend to prefer a more upscale look than something I could get at say a dollar store or some of the craft places. TJ MAXX generally has great looking baskets as does Pier 1, Bed Bath and Beyond and of all places, Target! Last year I got three beautiful wicker lined baskets at Target for the bedrooms to hold odds n' ends for about $15 each, they have held up wonderfully too.
  12. LOL! That just takes the "top". I love it! But really I agree sounds like too much scent
  13. If a fragrance smells good, it is good. If a fragrance smells bad, it is bad. If you have ever smelled rancid cooking oil or crisco, that is what a fragrance smells like when it has went rancid too. Very nasty smelling stuff!
  14. This all comes down to planning ahead. I see this as you ran out of wax (not planning ahead) and now are blaming the supplier for being out of stock? So what you are basically saying is that it is OK for you to run out because you did not plan ahead and had better sales than expected but the suppliers are supposed to be super human and just anticipate every move you make? "When you are a supplier it is imperative that you don't run out of stock, again, other businesses are relying on YOUR supplies to keep them running." Yes, and likewise, you too are a candle supplier, and you ran out, same principle I do believe. I think you need to pop a valium, sip on a glass of vodka whatever relaxes you honey and realize that you screwed up. Stop blaming others for your mistakes and move on.
