  1. So I pour the soap into that teeny tiny itsy bitsy little hole?? And I about bent the little suckers all up trying to get the soaps out. I didn't really know what they were when I bought them. I had also gotten this rectangular looking one too, at the same time. I haven't used that one yet. They were in a clearance bin and I wondered if they could be used for something I was getting into. They didn't work with scented rocks. *lol* Lye scares me too, my kitchen is sooo tiny and not ventilated at all. Seems I'm going to have to build a house here, with 2 kitchens!
  2. Yes! So I was suppose to put them back together? That's exactly what these are.:embarasse edited to add...the M&P base came from Cierra Candles in Reno. It was the Shea Butter one. It feels really creamy too and has lots of lather. This was fun!!
  3. Hi, my name is Broadzilla. And I am addicted. Oh yeah....I could just see it now!
  4. The ordering...NEVER stops???*faint* Thank you everyone, I'm loving this. My wallet isn't, but I am!! I thought the moon was pretty cool!
  5. Thank you Brenda. I know it's silly to post these kinds of pics after seeing what the pros do on here, but you guys "get it". No one else I know personally "gets it". I even had one guy at work ask me, "What is it with you wanting to make your own soap? EVERYBODY uses store bought." :rolleyes2
  6. erinmfritz, It wouldn't show me your pics. And yeah...these look much better than the scented rocks!:embarasse I'm off to read your thread now! LovelyLathers, this is a blast! I have stuff coming in at least twice a week now! I see something and I want it, it's horrible! When does the madness stop? When do I stop ordering things I see?:undecided
  7. Ok, I did it! I had a blast. I know most of you are laughing, but this is HUGE for me! I'm serious when I have said in the past that I am creatively challenged. Take the duck mold for example, notice his neck is about to come off? *lol* I bought this mold at Walmart for .50. I have no clue what it's suppose to be used for, but I'm thinking not this since I nearly ruined it trying to take it out. Some of these are scented in Hazelnut. I took a shower with one about 3 hours after it was made. It smells great! I am loving this! I brought my grandkids over the unscented ones. They are 6 and 3 and wanted to get back in the tub. *lol* They want a Spiderman and a Princess soap now.Off to find a mold of each. *L*
  8. I'll be watching this thread with you. Last night I received a huge bag of powdered goats milk, but I have only done M&P soap...once. *lol* Still researchng the other soap to do. But I'd love to add this to some M&P if possible.
  9. So how was the wedding? Did everyone love the wedding favors? Did you get lots of compliments?
  10. prairieannie, Stupid question here....How exactly do you reconstitute it? Tonight I was given a full bag of powdered goats milk and not real sure how to add it in the M&P soaps. I made my first M&P soap last night with nothing added in the first batch and Hazelnut Coffee in the second batch.
  11. :laugh2: You can use them as air freshners and put them in various things. I can't wait to make Marysj ornies!
  12. That's what I've read here, that they are pretty spendy.
  13. I guess I could have put that in a better way considering I AM a Yankee...according to my redneck fiance. Anyways, that's cool that yours look and smell better than store bought!
  14. I've never seen or smelled a Yankee before. Only pictures. I'm assuming that's what you are talking about. It's such a hot subject at times here. Anyways...looks like I haven't missed much.
  15. Since you're already on overload...try these links too! You'll have a blast!! http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47613&highlight=aroma+beads http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47039&highlight=scented+rocks http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47447&highlight=aroma+beads
  16. Hey Demenshia or morningstar, How in the heck long did it take for your salts to dry after you washed them? Mine have been out for over 12 hours and are still REALLY wet. Yes, I drained the water out. *lol*
  17. I think Demenshia said she puts hers in those organza bags. I'll go take a look. I took some out of the bag a little while ago and rinsed them off. They are now on tin foil in a cookie sheet drying. They should be good and dry by Sun morning. *lol* I'm impatient.:embarasse
  18. Really? You like the smaller ones huh? I haven't played with any of mine yet. I am working until Sunday morning, after that I'll have 3 days off to play around with this stuff.
  19. My UPS driver is SWEET! Every Christmas he helps my daughter in law hide my sons presents in their garage. *lol* Our USPS is another story, so I use my PO Box. FEDX...every package EVER delivered to me, wasn't. They are always delivered to some other town I've never been to. Like 3 hours away from me. But last week, I actually had a FEDX man come out to where I live to deliver a package to me. I never got the package though. He saw me coming...then he saw 5 grown dogs and 8 puppies. He told his boss he was afraid of the dogs. Ummm...yeah....can we say 10 foot FENCES buddy?? And I was outside of the fence where the dogs were. I live wayyyy out in the country. I then had to drive 90 miles to go to the FEDX office to get my own package!! Let's just say...it wasn't a pretty day for FEDX.
  20. Don't ask me! *lol* All Lowes had were these I bought and some other ones, pellets, that are wrong. I'm really good at finding the WRONG ones! *lol* I would love to find much bigger ones, like at that salt works place or whatever it was called. Those would be so cool!
  21. Thanks everyone! I'm off to order some!
