    So you have to pay $250 and order at least 5 lbs of fragrance oil, and they hold the right to the formula and can sell it to whomever they want. Hmmmm... don't know that I like that deal.

    Thanks, but I'm trying everything I can to not double wick. I just don't like the look of it AT ALL. Personal preference.

    I've been testing wicks with the Glass Glow, I've been using the CSN 14s for the most part but tried an LX wick just for fun. Not very good results (lots of tunnelling), so melted down and threw in an HTP 1212 just for fun. I'm using a 10 oz tumbler, 3" in diameter, Lemon fo from Nature's Garden at 1oz/lb. After the initial whopper of a flame settled down, I actually felt like I had a bigger and deeper melt pool than what I was getting with the CSNs. Anyone else been experimenting with HTP wicks? I may try the 126 just to see if that helps with the flame size.

    this just looks like the regular palm that I've gotten from CW, Taylored, S&P, etc. I'm surprised they used the term "frosted" to describe it, given us vege wax users' aversion to frosting

    I mixed soy with CW's Palm and still got large air pockets. I am still getting small pockets with the CandleScience palm, small enough that I'm not concerned about a re-pour in most circumstances. I sent an email to CS support asking if I could mix soy with their Palm and the response I got was "I don't recommend it". But with no explanation. I'm going to try it anyways, my hope is that adding some soy will give me a bigger and deeper melt pool.

    While, this is technically true, it takes a little more work than that. Wicking continues to be a problem for me.

    Can you define what "creamy" smells like? I'm not sure how to answer your question.

    I have had only a couple of instances where I had air bubbles with the Glass Glow. And they were much smaller in size than what I got from Candlewic, Taylored Concepts or S&P. A blast with the heat gun took care of it, and didn't ruin the top look of the candle too much. By the way: Today's May 10th and new no stock of Glass Glow. Even the note saying more would be in stock today is gone.

    I'll vouch only for their Lemon so far. Strongest one I've found.

    3 days later.. no response yet. :undecided:undecided Trying to pour into a slightly cooler tumbler to see what happens. On a completely different note... I just got my first presto pot. I LOVE it!

    I could see this being a problem if you go to a candle supply place like Taylored Concepts (which is local for me) and ask for a fragrance to be made. I was thinking more along the line of hiring a chemist/perfumer to create something that I could make myself. The chemist as part of their contract would have to sign a confidentiality clause. I am not seriously considering this because I'm just getting into this and am still testing and have not sold a single candle as of yet. Certainly couldn't provide volume to warrant this. Just thinking big, I guess

    Well I ran into a problem this week. I was looking at one of my beautiful glass glow candles I made and I turned it upside down... and the candle fell out! ( I use straight sided tumblers). So I started shaking a couple more candles and they started rattling in the jar! So I'm not getting any glass adhesion at all. I have an email into candle science to ask what I'm doing wrong, but they haven't responded as of yet. Heating glassware to 190, pouring at 195-200, by the way.

    Will do. Not ordering the 16s until there's more glass glow wax back in, so it will be awhile. And I'll live with the bigger flame over double wicking. Just one of those choices you have to make.

    my second burn in a tumbler 3" wide with a CSN 14 was much better. I have about a quarter of an inch of hangup on each side. Which I actually like some so that you can see the pattern of the wax from the glow of the candle. But to get there, I had to use a knife to pare the sides down a bit. Now that there is a CSN 16, that might be just the right size. I am only going to double wicking as a last last last resort.

The strongest scented Soy candles I've ever smelled. (His Vanilla Lime is to die for!) Anyways, this article is interesting, and it mentions in the middle that he actually fried a chicken in his soy wax and ate it. So it is a food.
