  1. I am looking for a dup version of this as well, I even looked on SOS and they usually have everything, but nothing!!:cry2: The only thing alot of suppliers carry is Ginger Lime but I want the Yankee dup, if you find let me know.

  2. How soon can you use a cp batch that has been rebatched, do you still wait the normal cure time or can you use the batch much sooner.

For example I CP'd a batch 2 weeks ago, now I need to rebatch the batch, once I pour the batch in the mold does the curing process start over to week 1 or do I begin at week 3 with the curing. I hope this makes some kind of sense?:undecided

  3. Z, oh my I just saw a lady do a demo on cream soap at the GA conference today, I so would like to try and make this myself. Good thing this tuturial will be up for a while that way I can print it off and try it at a later date when I have everything.

  4. Well I just got back from my first Candle & Soap Conference here in Georgia, matter of fact it was my first conference ever for soap and candles. I had alot of fun, I got loads and loads of goodies plus I got to meet some of my favorite suppliers from Southern Garden Scent (Tony's Fragrance Oil) and Southern Soapers. I won a couple of raffles such as the new containers from Bayousome, they are plastic containers with a cork stopper and are good for bath salts. Hopefully, I will be able to go to another one in the next couple of months. Did a mention too that you get tons of discounts once you go to the conference for various suppliers?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a conference for this forum, imagine how big it would be, maybe we can get together and learn alot from the various soap and candlemakers on this forum.

  5. Hi Brian,

I live in GA, and unfortunately there aren't alot of candle suppliers in GA, now soaping materials there's plenty. For most of my candle supplies I get wax, wicks, and fo's from CandleScience (NC), Tony's Fragrance which is located in GA, have alot of fo's that may be to your liking. I ofter use the states around us to save on shipping, like FL , SC, NC, TN, KY, TX (Bittercreek South, DayStar & Greenleaf). I use other suppliers that are in CT, MI, and NY, the shipping is a little higher but I can't resist their supplies. :D The farthest west I have been is in CO for Peaks fo's.

Wish you the best in your candlemaking adventure.

    Pam

  6. Well I finally tried out my new cp mold (upland) from jbren, and my oh my does this bad baby hold alot of oils (7lbs). It's scented Peaks Gardenia with a basic receipe that consisted of only 3 oils, Olive, Coconut 76 and Palm. Next time I will not use as many oils and maybe do an 4 or 5 pound batch instead. Unfortunately, I don't have any cut pics as of yet.

  7. I added the scent to the names. I am strongly thinking of splitting out two Companies with a link to each other.

Thank you to those who have been constructive and not destructive.

That looks good, now I understand your version and description it makes "scents" now....lol!!

  8. I would like to know the scents of the Trayler Trash Kandels, when I read each scent description they don't give me the idea that they smell good. For example I get "Whacky Tobacky" or E.D. (I guess this is a candle that isn't scented), but what fragrance is "Pune Tang" or "Mornin After"?

For us that may not be familiar and might need simple explanation maybe you could have it listed as:

E.D. (lamens term or fragrance name, unscented)- then your description

    or

Mornin After (Sex On the Beach)- then description

That is just my :2cents:, overall I like the Tattered Silk page.

    Good luck to ya!
