  1. Eilena, I really like the Black & White concept, very classic, simple yet elegant. The only problem I noticed was under the soap category, the relaxing soap kinda blends in with the black stand so that it's kinda hard to see the soap itself, then again it could be the resolution on my computer.:D Overall, I think you've done a great job!!!:highfive:

  2. :yay: :yay: Okay, I think I've told you a million and one times that you stuff rocks, the only thing I can say now is that, I'm never going to have any money for co-ops nor swaps, all of it's going to the my addiction to your Grumpy Butter ( I love the Chocolate Latte  ), and I want to try the solid perfume bars as well!!! Thank you for allowing me to enjoy my addiction in the comfort of pj's now!!!

:tiptoe: (Going to drool over the Choco Latte) :D

BTW, your site looks good and it's easy to manuever through the screens as well!!! Good Job!!

  3. Well Trish that's what happened to me.

I originally went on Go Daddy and someone had cozyaromas.com, back then I just placed my name on backordered just in case the original owner didn't renew the domain in a year. While doing that I also registered under cozy-aromas.com. Well a year goes by and lo and behold the original owner doesn't renew her contract, therefore since I had backordered the name, I got the chance to snatch it up. Of course it gave her a deadline to reclaim the name but she didn't. Go Daddy, then goes through the process of taking her name and anything attached to the domain. Since I originally paid a fee for the backorder, that went towards the purchase of the domain in the auction. That's right when I backordered that only held my spot to buy it off their auction block. If anybody else wanted to grab their name, they could do so and we would've had bidding war. But in my case it didn't go that far and I got the domain for the price I backorderd it for, plus I got some other perks with it like free hosting for a year or so, I can't remember I actually have to look at my papers.

I consider myself to be very fortunate, because I just knew the name was either going to remain with the owner, or be snatched up by somebody else.

So IMO, I would go for it and get the name you want and if it's taken to the chance and backorder it, who know you might just get it!!!;)

    Good luck!!!

  4. Well it's that time of year, when everyone's busy pouring and getting ready for the holidays. So I thought I would start a thread to see how's everyone coming along?

The past year and half, I basically made gifts for co-workers and family to get my name out there, well this time I wanted to finally get some orders. So I decided bring in some pillars I made over the weekend in my favorite christmas scent. I decided to put them on my desk as this is my favorite way of marketing my products without really saying a word. To my astonishment :D , I've got 3 orders thus far to fill with a potential 4 more.

One lady wants 30- 3x3 pillars and 60 votives for a candle set to give to the women in her family and a personal set for her bedroom. I'm so excited!!!:yay: Although I'm excited I still have one dilema (sp?), I don't have prices set in stone :shocked2:. I am going to calculate the time & effort plus the price of the supplies and come up with something. But since she's my tennis partner, and co-worker do you think I should be a little easy on the prices without cheating myself? I don't know, but I better figure out something soon, don't ya think???

Well tell me about your sales thus far??

  5. Michael-

I think cut-n-carve is your specialty, I really love butterflies and I think those cut-n-carve butterflies are beautiful. I would love to purchase a couple of those to display as a centerpiece. Don't forget to let us know when you ready to start selling those beautiful creations.

    Keep up the good work!!!!:highfive:

  6. I got my pens and I absoulutely love them, their the contour pens, they write good and they feel good in your hand. I've been passing them out everywhere I go, I gave them to some of my co-workers as well as to regular customers I have, I can guarantee that they will get another order from in the near future. The only information I have on my pen is my Company name, slogan, and website address. I think when I order from them next time I will change it up a bit but other than that, I am pretty much satisfied.

  7. I just took inventory of all my fo's when I was packing for my move and I noticed that I get majority of my oils from Peaks and Nature's Garden, followed by GreenLeaf and GoPlanetEarth. I really don't have one supplier because one supplier might not have the designer fragrances that I like therefore I have to go to another supplier. As for eo's, I use Wellington.

  8. PA, that was a wonderful 15 seconds of fame, although it may have been a short commercial I'm sure viewers will see more than the 15 seconds. :wink2: With just that commercial I learned alot about your business. BTW, you're shop looks fantastic!!! :)

  9. I'm loving your sign, trust me signs like that get you noticed. When I started making candles over a year ago, I was traveling form GA to OH and I noticed someone's company from this board. They had a logo with their company's name on their jeep. I told my fiancee that, that was such and such and that they were on the msg board...and of course he thought I was crazy but he got the point eventually!!

I so wish I could remember their name, but at this moment, I'm having a brainfart. :)

  10. Rachel, if so happen you don't have time to make bathbombs, I'm sure Kristineshower wouldn't mind you being wholesaler of some of her "bombs." :)

Rachel, I'm sure with the advice you're receiving it will help you make a sound decision on what should stay and what should go. Make sure to keep us posted on your opening day.

I wish you the best :).
