  1. Now the purple one Chris posted ... that looks dead on too ... but wouldn't want them in purple lol. What about these being ornaments that are fillable? Wonder how those would work.

You're right, the link Chris posted is them for sure. I only posted the other ones because the company that Chris posted has an very large minimum.

they will do them in clear or just about any color you want. They are PET plastic which is perfect, but the minimums are horrible even for a co-op. :cool2:

I so wish the minimums weren't so high. Maybe we can get 50 people to get 100 of them, then we'll have enough to start an coop...Just kidding...wishful thinking, huh??:wink2:

  2. I think that the second one (http://www.craftsetc.com/store/item.aspx?dep=50&cat=77&subcat=5&IsOnSale=0&IsFeatured=0&IsNew=0&ItemId=61788) is actually a large glass canister thing that they sell penny candy out of. They are called "tilt" jars and the dimensions are pretty big.

What about this one, it's a little smaller....

The one's in the original post measure 3" the link that I just attached are 3x3x2.

  3. I found those awhile ago here: http://www.arminak-associates.com/_e/PET/product/AAE06FST001/PET_Bottle30ml_60ml_150ml_250ml.htm

I can't order 5,000 - 10,000 which is their minimum quantities and I can't find a supplier that sells them in a smaller quantity. If you find someone, let me know please!! :cool2:

Check out my above posts, I believe the 2nd link is the item head on. The only thing I really don't like, is the fact they are glass and not plastic. They should do well in gift baskets, that was my inteded purpose for them or as party favors for an wedding or shower.

  4. Well that's good news Southern Scents!!:highfive:

I agree with mzbizzyb, or you could say something to that fact that due to the increasing amount of orders generated from the newspaper article the TAT for orders are 7 to 10 business days. I saw saying similar to that on an website Oprah had as one of her favorites. The company was generating so many much business due to the endorsement that they had to say something to keep up with orders and to keep the customers informed. HTH

  5. Favorite Log: I really don't have one as of yet, I hate lining molds so anything that I don't have to line will be okay with me!!!:o

Favorite Slab: My Upland mold, I just love the removable line, it's my fav thus far, I want a Jeff mold next

I like to us Celestial Colors, as the colors are in dispensible bottles already to go so no need to mix and transfer. Next colors to try are TKB's and some more Natural colorants.

Cutter: I have a wire cutter from Creekside Soaps, and 2 cutters one wavy and the other straight.

  6. I am going to an Networking Event on the 11th of July, and I'm trying to figure out what to bring besides business cards. I thought maybe passing out business cards with a votive, what do you think?

A little about the event, vendors will be there (hopefully I'll be one at the next event), there will be vendors in the following areas of beauty and makeup artists, massage therapists, manicurists and nail techs and more. The event requires a ticket which is 25 a person or 2 for 40. The price includes food, drinks, music and plenty of networking.

If you have been to a networking event, how was it?

  7. That sounds about right... I assume too much pumpkin puree will rot in soap?
I have never soaped with actual food such as pumpkin puree or even bananas for that matter, so if this` question is off wall, please excuse me :embarasse as I'm still learning....but is there an additional additive needed so the soap won't go rancid like a perservative due to the fact you're using food or is that not neccessary.
And anyone posting here up to teaching a class on making pumpkin soap?
I would most definitely be interested in learng how to make a pumpkin soap using pumpkin puree.:D
  8. I just ordered tons of stuff from them and I haven't seen a hidden charge yet, and I hope not to as well or I won't be a happy camper. I do know that when you place an order that they do ask for you sign up for several other things and I have seen the smaller print on some things and I've decided to decline due to that smaller print but if they are charging you without your say so, that is totally wrong.
