Maybe I was misunderstood. I meant the perfume/cologne on the roller bottles. Where do they get the oils to make them from? I know its not the net but they sell roller bottles everywhere around here. Yes you have to dilute the oils you purchase in you use them in roller bottles or what not because it is a pure oil and will irritate the skin. Not meaning to dilute then add to soap, candles or lotions.

I have purchased from them quite a few times and I must say I like their extreme concentration oils. The SOS sometimes is hit or miss though. Their prices suck!!!! But they carry the most dupes so I have to purchase some things from regardless of the price. Depending on the scent I use 1oz per lb. But sometimes some scents are just weak so I may use 1.5 but no more than that. Anything more you might as well forget the wax and just use the oil. If you cure long enough the scent can really come through.

It has to be some other source because the ones I have encountered don't use the net for anything. I just want to know where they buy their oils from locally or whatever. We all have to dilute the oils

I was wondering where do all the street vendors, bootleggers, barbershops/beauty shops get all their FO's from? I always see guys walking around selling various oils but I am quite sure they are not on the net though. Is there some secret to purchasing these items locally?

Not necessarily, only the FO's that says Premium soy. I have quite a few of their scents but some of them are just not strong enough period. Some of their scents are awesome and some are just tooo weak but that goes for about all of the suppliers. You have to try samples of the scent you desire from different suppliers because they are not the same quality and strength.

I have ordered from them quite a few times. My first order was the sos(regular) scents and some of them were not strong enough to use in B&B. I would have to double the amount so I just left it alone because I did not want to risk irritating someones skin. Now I order the extreme concentrations and I must say it is a very big difference in some of them. For example I purchased Rochas (which I love for men) in sos and I liked it very very much but then I ordered extreme and it knocked me for a loop. I could not believe how good it smelled. ALso, I ordered Burberry sos and I could hardly smell anything but then purchased EC and wowww!. So its worth the few more dollars if no one else has it.

Who has this scents besides sos or royal a?

I use no color at all but if someone feels they need it, maybe cream colored(light yellowish).

I would not use that much because it is not cost effective. How long are you letting them cure? Maybe try stretching it another week or so, maybe that should help. Meredith Edit: Also some scents throw better than others. I have trays that I made the same day, same amount of fragrance and still some throw weak, strong, and too strong. Just depends on the fragrance and the supplier actually.

I never said that he sold me a bottle of kerosene. I stated that all my bottles smelled like kerosene. :confused: Yes I did email him and have not heard back from them as of yet. I am not sure that I am feeling your response so I will leave it at that. BTW, from the years that I have purchased oils I have never smelled anything chemically. Granted sometimes things may not smell quite right but thats different and not a complaint because every manufacturer have different versions of scents. But I do have a right to voice my opinion and ask a question if anyone else ever had the same problem.

Hi I ordered from him a few weeks ago and all the oils I received smells like kerosene. No matter the scent they all smell like (kerosene). I thought maybe it was just me so I tried to use it anyway and still KEROSENE. Just to name a few: Drakkar, Dolce & Gabbana, Obession, Paris and so on. They all stink like h@ll. They all have similiar scents and nothing like their namesake just kerosene and something else added. Has anyone else had a similiar experience? Granted, he was very nice and shipped the items the same day within a few hours of me ordering, so I give him that. But that was my worst FO experience ever. Oh, one more thing .... I asked him was Paris (on his site) the same as Paris Hilton and he said yes, What a crock!!! Pure Kerosene.

Your cucumber soap looks totally amazing to me. It looks refreshing. Make me wanna go puree some cucumbers:grin2:. But I am in the middle of fighting with a wick and a jar so I have to wait until the match is over. Love it Love it Love it GO CUCUMBER SOAP!

Southernscents, I just don't think you're ready right now. You seem to be jumping the gun a bit. You said your first candle supply order??????? That means you never purchased them before or maybe I just misunderstood the statement. Also, you said you burn them beside your competitors, so how can you test the scent throw? How about making a few candles and give them away to family and friends and see what they say, they can be great testers. They can tell you the good bad and the ugly. I wish you well on your adventure but slow down, breath and enjoy the hard work.

I purchased them from ICS and the shipping is great. I had a few that leaked but ICS resolved the issue promptly on my next order.

THanks for the story concerning the son. That made my heart cringe at the thought. No, money was not my main concern. I knew something was wrong because it was very very very hot. It was discarded safely and the lye was put away (away from everything else). Again, thanks for the responses and the lessons learned. Meredith

Probably 4 cups of dead sea salt and one cup of lye. ITs getting HOT so I am going to dump it down the drain if its ok?

I was mixing bath salt and I accidentally used lye instead of deitric salt. I added it to my dead sea salt and oils mixture. Can I do anything with it or just toss it out. I know I can't use the salt but can I make some kind of soap? Please any suggestions are welcomed.

I would not recommend using mineral oil because it clogs the pores. Castor oil is great for thinning hair lines just by itself.
