  1. Hi Judette, I am unaware of which forum you are speaking of... What reasons do they give for not using liquid milk in M&P on the other forum?
  2. Those are very cool Meridith! Good job!
  3. I would recommend a cheese keeper. My absolute favorite soap mold. I got mine off of ebay for around $7.00 shipped. Straight sides and the perfect size. I get 8 bars just over an 1" each. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Tupperware-Cheese-Keeper-Holder_W0QQitemZ270401376977QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef52d92d1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Thanks for posting this link. The soap on that site is beautiful!
  10. This is my first attempt at a chunk soap. I used clear glycerin and goat's milk base, scented in Sex on the Beach. Thanks for looking!
  11. I have the exact same soap, and mine is a yellowish brown, pretty sure that is normal. I've always thought it had a mildly strange smell, which I also think is normal. If your using it in your melt and pour, your fragrance should cover it just fine. I just made a batch with a little Dr. Bronners, and I can't smell it (the Dr. Bronners) at all.
  12. Here's a link to their site... http://www.tkbtrading.com/
  13. If you are already purchasing from Peaks, that would be a good place to purchase M&P from. They carry SFIC bases which are all natural, and very good quality. I purchase my soap dye from TKB trading. And you are right, m&p soap making is a lot of fun! :smiley2:
  14. I add my fragrance at 165-170. Some people like to add fragrance at a higher temp. It could possibly be that the fragrance you are using just doesn't do well in soy. But I wouldn't know for sure because I have never used that specific gingerbread FO. I do like to let mine sit for a couple of days before I test them.
