  1. I'm in the same boat with Candle Soylutions. I placed an order on the 16th and have heard nothing. Normally, they are so fast that I get a "shipped" email as soon as I check out. I've gotten so spoiled! :embarasse
  2. I would "google" it. The only thing I have heard about scented paper is to put a cotton ball with a few drops of EO on it, inside a bag with the papers. The cotton ball needs to be in a bag too, so it doesn't seep on the papers. Good luck.
  3. I like Mediterranean Sea from Enchanted Lites.
  4. I send my accounts a Christmas card OR a New Years card. I don't do gifts, but I do do samples throughout the year.
  5. According to the National Candle Association: Approximately 35% of candle sales occur during the Christmas/Holiday season. Non-seasonal business accounts for approximately 65% of candle sales.
  6. Cherry pipe tobacco. I remember my childhood friend's grandpa's pipe. Every time I smell it, I think of them.
  7. I personally use the Plastic Frosted bags from Nashville wraps. Would an option be to buy the clear frosted and use colorful tissue paper? The tissue comes in the Rainbow Spots. It would be a change, however, not so dramatic. I would worry that downsizing to the t-shirt sack would not be a positive image move. Maybe another move could be a kraft bag, hand stamped with a rainbow spots. I think I have seen circles and spots that you could use. It's a lot of stamping, unless you just do one on a bag. Than again, that's just my $.02.
  8. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I got all my oils and wax from one vendor, and got bad batch of soy wax a few years ago. I thought it would ruin me, BUT I retested a new wax and spread my scents from several different places. We have all seen a few come and go over the years.
  9. I think Millcreeks would be closest to what you are looking for.
  10. I wanted to run a dehumidifier in my studio to keep moisture down for when they are cooling. I didn't know if moisture is a problem during that stage.
  11. I tried the dehumidifier, but I don't think I got the level down much. I went from 48% humidity to about 45%. That still seems a bit high. What levels are everyone else at? I'm almost to afraid to make any candles right now. I don't want to have burn problems. Thanks!
  12. This is my third year of paying for insurance. The first increase was $30, over the previous year. This years increase is over $80 over last year! WTF! I know it's the cost of doing business, but it just chaps my a$$ to have NO claims or any contact whatsoever, until time for the bill! Thanks for letting me vent! I think I feel better.
  13. Scented you are so right! The candle cacoon is so thick it LOOKS like caramel! Thanks for responding.
  14. Thanks for responding. I will try that.
  15. I have never mixed with a caramel FO before. I am trying to perfect a caramel apple. Can anyone recommend a beginning mixing ratio? Would 50/50 be a good start, or more apple, less caramel? I'm using Candle Cacoon's ooey gooey caramel. I've mixed with mint FO in the past, and everything mixed with it was lost to the mint. TIA!
  16. For those mixing, does a 50/50 ratio work? I know with mint, anything I mix with it at 50/50 the mint takes over. I was wondering if it was the same with caramel.
  17. mystical_angel1219 What is your ratio of mixing the two? Is it 50/50? I've got a different apple coming, but have the candle cacoon on the way. Thanks.
  18. Looks great! I love the Viva paper towls too. They are the best.
  19. Do I count my stay at home mom gig as a job? If so, I'm workin' two jobs.
  20. I have been very happy with the service. It has boosted sales for me to have it. The downside, is the wait time for it to get into the bank, and the fees, but.....
