  1. Well - I decided to give it a try, I ordered the feather and the glass glow or what ever the name for the container wax. I also ordered the new wicks. Of course it is impossible to order anything anywhere without throwing in a fo or 2. Decided to try the cranberry marmalade, honeysuckle jasmine, and moon lake musk. I have been real satisfied with the fo I have ordered from them so far. I'am really really excited about trying the palm wax, some very pretty pillars have been posted with this wax.

  2. The way I center my wicks - make a template of each jar - that is draw a circle around bottom of jar on piece of paper and measure off your center and then put your wick there and draw around it. When you get ready to wick your jar just put it on template and it shows you where wick needs to go. To I guess you would call it to "install" the wick I use a stick ball point pen and take very thing out and then just run your wick up through that and apply hot glue or whatever you use to stick your wick. Hope this makes sense:D

  3. Glad to hear that Mill Creek is being tested. I just ordered the Cozy Home, Juicy Watermelon, Sunflower, and Fresh cut Roses this morning. Know the reviews on cozy home were great - any other on the sunflower and fresh cut roses. Sorry-don't mean to hijack your thread:wink2:

  4. I prefer the liquid also, I agree with getting it all over everything! My fingernails stay colored different colors - don't have to worry with polishing them!! It is eaiser to keep the color of your candles consistent using the liquid and keep up with drops per scent. Much easier when you have to mix colors also. :smiley2:

  5. I buy Tart burners from both Levine and Jackel. There is very little difference in pricing of them. If you buy from Levine or Jackel you have to set up a wholesale account, with Tax ID # and all. Jackel has the really pretty ones and you can get a lot of accessories to match. hth

  6. I keep a presto griddle turned on all the time I am making candles to about 225. Keep pyrex - coffee pot - 4 oz =1 lb, 8 oz = 2 lbs, all the way to metal rim = 3 lbs ( very handy) on heating and measure the wax from presto with pour spout in coffee pot and then transfer to heated metal pour pot and add dye and fo. hth

  7. I second the storing in the large jars, and if you run out of room then shrink wrap them. I try to shrink wrap most of mine now, as my shelves have become full of jars. It is just easier to keep that way and then I put them in a large basket for customers to go through. I also store most of my tarts in the large jars. Keep scents separated definitely.
