Put my vote in. I really like the stuff. Sometimes I get a perfect pour but ,most of the time a little blast from the heat gun works out just as well.

I like candlesource's The Great Pumkin too, added just a touch of vanilla to it.

I am not saying parafin is bad, we all know we have been burning these candles all our lives. After starting to make soy I have switched, but I still have my old favorites. But I was just wondering if anyone has thought of the long term affects of being a candlemaker of parafin wax. Just wondering if it concerned anyone. I am sure no one there are no studies that say so. But we are now learning about second hand smoke. Just a thought.

I came a cross a candle at a friends house a it had a tag on it and said NVSoy, wasn't sure if it was a type of soy wax like EZsoy, GW Cargill and so on. Thanks

It's funny, some prefer no color then a lady buys a candle because it matches her room. No one can ever know. But I myself do most of my stuff without and some have muted colors. It's always a toss up.

I was just remember a called that I received a long time agofrom a friend and and she said it was a soy candle and I could also use as a perfume. I assumed you rubbed the wax when unlit. So I just went and found it and looked a t the label. It stated on the label that it "makes a lotion, last a long time, helps heal cuts and burns. Dozens of scents." Didn't notice that before I used burned it for the fragrance. But cuts and burns. And it was scented with gardenis which I am sure is a syntheic fragrance because most of them are. I just hope people use are smart enough just to use the candle to burn as a normal candle and not anything else.

Yes you can. I have done it in body care and in candles. I am burning it right now and it burns like any other candle. Have fun mixing.

Does anyone have a contact for those clear plastic tops you place on the top of an open container candle that keeps the product from dirt and stuff. Its just real simple like a little sleeve for the top. I hope I described it right. Thanks

I think you are recommened to only burn candles a few hours at a time. I read candle box I got a while back and thats what it said in the packaging. and that is what I out on my label as a recommended use. i think if you burn it that long it would go quickly

I worked in a body care store about 15 years aog and we came up with a fragrance and called it Birds of Paradise. I believe it was a blend of French Vanilla pikaki and a touch of coconut. Which would make it sweet and a floral. I still have a bottle from that store and it is still so yummy.

I understand and that is why I second guesed myself so I am off to burning away amd test. I will only sell the ones I tested already. Thank you for all your support out there. I am just so excited about them and I did there labels last night and I am really happy with them.

Wondering if any one has any feedback on Day Star oils. They seem on the ricy side but are they worth it.

Since I am new at this I just wanted some opinions and just want to make sure I am doing this ok. I have only one container size I have tested 2 wicks and 2 different soy waxes. I have chosen then one I like the best. Of course I have several fragrances. I have tested about several of my fragrances but not all. BUt I make sure they all smell great from the jar. Is this enough? I want to try and sell some at my next flea marktet. I think I am good just second guessing myself.

I have been making cadles all yesterday and testing my candles and I seem to have lost my sense of smell. I am worried that I haven't put enough frag. in them. I am using 1oz to 1.5 oz depending on the strength of the FO per 1.25 lb of wax. Does this happen to everyone. I am getting nervous my candles won't be strong enough.

I get my wax (C3) and my glass containers from them. But I have to admit I do prefer other companies FO.

Can you use the microwave to remelt?

Damsels creations, I have the Trapp mediterrean fig candle, I loved it. Trapp candles are very strong. That's why they are expensive. I just started making candles a couple of weeks ago and one of my first fragrances I bought was Med Fig., I got it from Just By Nature. And I have to say it smells very similar to the Trapp. Haven't burned it yet but it smells great i the glass. Hope this helps. Lexi

Carrie, Totally agree with you, I just poured my first C3 candles and I am happy with the results and they do have a good supply of jars. Which is good if you are a local because those are your heavy items. I am trying different oils from different companies out there. Lexi

Kim, Went to genwax and got some new wax, same price as everyone else, just dont have to pay for shipping. But I smeeled there frag and I still prefer the ones I got from JBN. Lexi
