If my silicone molds have a lot of wax on them, I put them upside on a foil lined cookie sheet in the oven. Then I wash them with hot soapy water. Let dry competely. Then I can use them for m & p soap.
If not alot of wax, then I use my heat gun to melt the wax, wipe it out with a paper towel and then wash in hot soapy water.

Welcome to the addiction of candle making.
I have wilton silicone molds that will take upto 500 degrees of heat. Pouring melts and soap is not a problem. I know nothing about latex though.
Have fun.

I know...I've been sitting on all my different Patchouli's for a while now.
I thought now would be a good time to make stuff with it. I hate Patchouli, so I don't know why I all of a sudden want to make stuff with it.
Chocolate Patchouli, Raspberry Patchouli, and plain Patchouli. I also mix the chocolate and raspberry together. I call it Choc Raspberry Patch.

How tall is the heart?
They look good!
Thank you
The heart is 3" tall. The candle measures 3 3/4 x 3 x 3.
It's a booger to get the wick right. I try to get it more towards the point of the heart than the m part.

Thank you so much. This was my first time doing layers in pillars. I'm very pleased with them.

Organized.......... :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
What's organized????
My husband is just amazed that I know where everything is. I also talk to myself alot, so that helps me keep on track.
Good luck getting your stuff organized.

Welcome. You are in for a bunch of fun. It's good that you're going slow and learning as you go.
The importance of testing can not be stressed enough.
Have fun with your new addiction.

I set mine on a muffin pan. Just place it over one of the holes where a muffin liner would go. I hope this makes sense.

I haven't heard of them before now. I did request a price list and ordering info. It's always nice to find places out here to buy from.

I use both plastic and silicone molds for my melts. I also use pillar palm wax. I like the silicone molds better. The melts just pop right out. I use the silicone mini muffin and heart shaped ones.

I use the tealights from WalMart with no problem. I just love the coffee cup warmers. They are so cute.

Welcome to your new addiction. Sounds like you are on the right track.

Candy molds work good. Silicone molds are the best. imo
I try to use my pillar wax for melts, but I have used C-3. It's fine.

I buy fragrance oils and wax from them all the time. Great products and service. I order one day before noon and my order is here the next day. I'm in Idaho.

Here's how I clean all my molds...silicone and metal.
Turn your oven on to bake. Set it to the lowest setting...mine is 170.
I use a cookie sheet...line with aluminum foil
put the mold upside down on the cookie sheet. put in the oven for 5 or 10 minutes or longer. Take it out and wipe with a paper towel.
Now it's cleaned for the next use. Just remember to use a potholder...they can be hot.

I do, I do

The cyclo is all I've used. Love it. It gives my lotion/cream a nice silky feeling. Body spray is wonderful.

I make mine also. I just recently started making my own warning labels.

Thank you all for the nice compliments.
I don't heat my molds before I pour. So, I think that is what causes that. Hot wax hitting cold metal.
