I'm going to make some baby bottle candles for my daughter's friend baby shower, I have to questions (sorry I try the "search" couln't find anything) First what is the best size wick, I ask the company where I order the mold they only say "we recoment the square wick" I'm thinking about ordering size 2 and size 1, do you recomend any other size to try? Also what is your favorite baby scent, I normaly order from Peacks, they only have "baby powder" I read it's very good, I was thinking maybe lavender to have two scents to test and see how it goes, the candles are going to be pink. This are the first candles I'm going to give to any one, other than my daughter, after reading here all this time (since I started here) I feel presure to be very sure the candles are going to be safe even if they will probably won't burn them. This is how new and small I really am, I place a board on top of my kitchen sinks to extend my "work area", I don't cook much any more, so I get to store my things in my kitchen cabinets, mostly do it during the weekends. I love this hobby I don't think I would ever be able to make my candles for profit, just for enjoyment. Zonia

I second that, it hurts!!!!!!! Can some one make molds that aren't so painful to clean?:undecided I also agree about clugging the drains. Been there done that, hahaha. I have not make good enough candle but been there done that. Zonia

Oh WOW! I feel better to see I'm not the only one who spends so much, I ask my DH how much do I spend? hihihihihih:embarasse he said about $50 or $60 a month, he has no idea, hahahahaha poor baby! The other day we went to get some wax, he got crazy putting things in the basket, when "HE" got the total, I almost fainted, he said he wanted to cheer me up, since I had a dificult week at work. I must remember to get sad more often:o If this is not healthy, please let me be, I'll die happy. I have spend most of today and haven't being able to find the right tone, I started using liquid brown (peak's) one drop, it was much like coffe, I added red, 1/2 of the little tablets (Gemwax), not enough, added more red it turn to red, added more wax and went on and on and on. I'm using the container soy wax (Gemwax) Can some one pllllllllllease HELP! ME with any suggestions? I check on the information on the left side of the window, but only says "brown" Zonia

Is there a place where you can buy this labels? no printer I made 12 for my daughter's new grandparents in law and only wrote "this is not a candle" did not put a wick. I think this is the only thing I can really make for now, I guess I should be more specific. She is going to visit them for Thanks giving day, I have time to fix them. Zonia

I was asked to buy a subscription to a magazine (for school funraising), I search for a thread to see if there is information on a good magazine for a "want to be candlemaker" like me, the only one I found is not in the list. Can you please share what magazine do you mostly read? I don't read magazines unless I'm at the doctors office I'm not trying to get formulas or the information you get from the books, I was just thinking what most of you like or may find and idea on how to present your candles or decorate them.
