  1. I am wondering if Yankee's candles aren't strong or don't burn right than why do so many people buy them? Is there not enough competition out their so customers don't have alot of choices or what??? I have never burned their candles but I have smelled them and they smell great...

Most customers have no idea how a candle is suppose to burn, so they dont know its wrong. I used to be one who thought it was normal for a tunnel and didnt know I needed to let it burn for 3 plus hours.

  2. What temp do you add your FO at? And how long did you stir? Those to things are usually the problem for no hot throw. I add my FO at 180, and stir for a good 3 minutes. Hopefully you just have candlenose. Another thing could be that the FO you bought is to old and has lost some of its strength. You could also try a different kind of wick, I am not familiar with that wax so maybe someone can make a suggestion.

  3. I'm using the same wax for my tarts. I filled the liners up to the top, but they still shrunk overnight. The only reason I didn't like it is because although the wax settled some, it left some in the ridges of the liner. So, when I peeled off the liner, I had little pointy bits of wax sticking up. For my personal use, not a problem, but should I ever decide to sell them, I just wanted to know how to correct it.

I did just leave them sitting out on the table. Should I have placed them in a box, covered them, or something?

You can buy tart molds if you ever wanted to sell them. As for cooling, the slower they cool generally the less they shrink. So you can cover them with a box:)

  4. I use IGI's 6006 para/soy blend. Its a nice creamy wax. You might want to give it a try. As for straight paraffin, its made more for pillars. You would be better off buying a already blended wax for containers IMO. Good luck.

You can get the 6006 at Candlescience.
