  1. :smiley2: Love this scent - made this to match my mom's furniture - the orangy color turned out a bit darker than I wanted, but it's not too bad, all in all
  2. I like all of your leafy candles, but I dig the shape on this one
  3. Still needs to be wicked/finished - I love this scent - don't mind the paneling - new house, we're getting rid of it lol :smiley2:
  4. I LOVE Peak's Home for the Holidays - in fact, I'm getting a lb of it delivered today so I can make some xmas gifts
  5. I've always used store brand cooking spray - works just fine. Just make sure you don't use the butter flavored ones - it can give a yellowish tint to your candles.
  6. I finally got one a few weeks ago, and it's well worth it. For instance, last night I unmolded a candle which hadn't mottled completely - put it back in the mold and heated it w/the gun and now my mottle is complete (I was just guessing that it would work lol)
  7. The vybar 343 will help keep the fo from seeping out during burning, so if you can get some, please do
  8. That's EXACTLY what it is, Sharyl. It wasn't intended to be (it's a very long story which I won't go into lol), and I had never even thought of doing a mottled chunky, but I like the way it looks
  9. I dig this scent Still needs to be leveled and wicked - sorry for quality of pic - all I have right now is cell phone camera P.S. the pics always look clear and sharp until I upload them here......not sure what to do about that?
  10. They're not HARD to do, just labor intensive. They're a lot of fun. Give it a shot
  11. Sorry about the quality of the pic, Georgia - only thing I have to shoot w/right now is my cell phone. I'm attaching another pic - it may or may not look better than the original (won't know until I post it - my pics change once I post them for some reason) Top - I didn't go for the waves, just a basic tilted layer which I got lucky w/a little wave action
  12. Thanks - the mold on the left is a square oblique which is actually a 6x9 mold (huge) - I tend to pour my candles in sets w/the round and the square oblique and never fill the molds full - one day if I ever start selling I'll start to fill them fuller I guess I need to be able to afford all that wax lol
  13. Not quite what I was aiming for, but I like them nonetheless - they are actually more of a cola brown color which doesn't show in the pic - I was pleased w/the mottling... P.S. not wicked yet
  14. You might want this for future reference http://www.gellycandle.com/ColorChart.html
  15. As always, all of your candles look great :highfive:
  16. The impatient smiley is cracking me up - Your candles look much better than the couple I've poured recently - I've had fingernailing, all kinds of crap that I never dealt with in TN - I'm wondering if the change in altitude or WHAT is making all of mine so ugly. Once you get back in the groove you'll start getting the results you want, I'm sure. Those are pretty, though.
  17. http://www.gellycandle.com/ColorChart.html This may also give you some ideas
  18. I've only made a couple of candles since May, and this is the first decent one out of them - It's actually a remelt of one I did last night that didn't work out (don't think I'll ever get the rustics down) - Glad to finally be getting back in the swing of things. Edited to say that the candle itself has a smooth shiny finish, not pitted as it appears in the pic.
  19. I just moved to Idaho from Knoxville - Aztec was on my way to work (Oh how I'm going to hate having to pay shipping costs) -- I have tried the following Aztec FO's: Rain, Fresh Brewed Coffee, Hazelnut, Muscadine, ....oh, geez, I'm going to have to look at what I've got to continue this....OH, wait, My FAVORITE OF ALL TIME, Cool Citrus Basil....they have all been good. I'm getting homesick now
  20. I made a couple of pillars awhile back with fresh linen and jasmine (called it fresh jasmine) - peak fresh linen, not sure about the jasmine...smelled great, though
