Anyone have a 2" round label template I could use. Maybe MS Word format there are 20 labels to a sheet. This is not a usual size so I cannot find a template on Avery.com. Thanks,

Well after some thorough research I found the company that makes the Ball and Kerr Mason jars. http://www.jardenhomebrands.com/ They then point you to this website for retail service: http://www.polsteins.com/canning--jars.html Seems the Ball Corporation got out of the glass business back in 1993 they only make metal and plastic products now. http://www.ball.com/ Thats when they sold the business to the Jarden Corporation, they make the Kerr and the Ball brand canning jars now. Just an FYI for anyone interested.

The decorative covering on the "Holiday Time Candle Gift Sets" can ignite, potentially causing a fire or burns. So far, there have been 6 reports of property damage, but no one has been injured. The candles were sold nationwide from September 2004 through January 2005.

Im in Rock Hill, SC its about 15 miles south of Charlotte NC. I like the country look of the embossed canning jars like these.

For those of you that use canning jars for your candle making. Do you have a certain retailer you get these from all year? I have been getting my from Big Lots but it looks like they are running low and I’m afraid to ask the manager if they are going to get more in. I tried to look for a company website for the mason jars to see if they had retailers but could not even find a website. I don’t want to buy off the internet and incur shipping charges, I was just wondering if you knew of a retailer that stocks them all year. I went to my local Wal-Mart and they just have the quilted jelly jars that’s it. I use the jelly jars and pint jars. I went to my local post office today to ship out some candles and the clerk told me if I were to package it in a Priority Box they have, no matter how much it would weigh, or how much I could stuff in it, no matter where in the country it will going it would be a flat rate of $7.70. I did not know this and saved a good bit of money, just wanted to pass along in case it may help someone eles. I poured some candles with the J225 this past weekend. 1.) NO WET SPOTS so far, they have already turned up on the ones I poured with the J223 but none so far with the J225 2.) It does seem to be harder to color, I really like the way the J223 Colors. But this is not biggie to me. 3.) On Pour Wax? This failed my test. I think my J223 is a better our pour compared to this. With the 8 oz Jelly it sank, and with the 16 oz big sink hole. Normally with the J223 I have no sink with the 8 oz, and with the 16 oz very little, have to flatten with heat gun. But I would not consider this a one pour with my experience. 4.) Scent throw, the Cold Throw I can tell no difference, hot throw cured now for close to 4 days I can not tell a difference either. The only thing I can see that is a plus on this is the NO WET SPOTS. other than that I really like my 223 better for now.

I promise I am going to try my sample this weekend. I have been so busy with work, and just got back from Vacation over Labor Day. Have not made any candles in two weeks, But I have to make some this weekend not doubt about it. I will post my results how they turn out. Hopefully there will not be any wet spot's as the ad claims wouldn't that be great! Ohh yeah they send you an 11lb slab as a sample so I should get quite a few 8 oz jars out of that to test

It only makes good Business sense to continue to sell and market the Astorlite Brand Container waxes. Even thought IGI now owns the Astorlite name, it has a good reputation in the market place. I have a feeling IGI will continue to manufacture the Astorlite along with their own name brand waxes as well. Why discontinue a whole brand, when you can have TWO, and reap the benefits of BOTH. I think I could compare this to the recent Sears/Kmart merger, now know as Sears Holdings. Kmart bought out Sears I think way back in March, but they are keeping the Sears name, and when they transition to one store they will have brands from both stores. I think this is what IGI is doing with the Astorlite brand waxes, like Sherry Everett said, they complement IGI’s line of waxes very well.

I think I'll go out on a limb here and say NOT TRUE. They have just introduced a new J blend the J225, just got a sample of it last week. And no I haven’t had a chance to test yet, its killing me but have been super busy at my other job. If fact if you read the memo I copied and posted in the thread, it states that the J225 is the First in a series of wax blends from their new "Total Scents" product line. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3209 So yeah I would doubt Astorlite would continue to release and entire new product line, and take the time and money that goes along with testing if they planned on discontinuing it.
