  1. Holly, Thanks so much for replying. I forgot to mention the $2 is with lid. I got up the courage and called Anchor today. Even with a 25 case min., the cost is still 11.28 a case.

I guess Fillmore is the best I can do until i can fill a warehouse full of them :tongue2: .

    Thanks again,

    Kim

  2. Thanks so much for the reviews. I have been thinking about adding Flickers as a supplier for the Brown Sugar and Fig. I received it in a swap and it is awesome!!!

Do you have any favorites from there you would recommend or is this your first order? I would hate to just buy ONE oil lol.

    TIA,

    Kim

  3. Oh Wow...Where to start :shocked2:

    The Short Version

Your wick is to big and/or the wrong type of wick for the wax you are using.

    The Long Short Version

Each time you combine wax/FO/dye/additives you are creating a unique fuel to keep your flame going. Each "new fuel" has to be tested to see which wick works best. Some wicks burn hotter than others so you need to find the correct wick to make sure no one burns their house down.

Do you know what type of wax you are using?

  4. You can browse the suppliers by state website to see who is closest to you. That will help quite a bit with the shipping costs. For me CS is only a $20 shipping fee per case but you are much farther away.

I would suggest peaks. They are always reasonable on shipping and alot closer than North Carolina :smiley2:

  5. Thanks so much for posting their reply Natty,

I'm at work so I haven't researched it yet but, even if I do, not sure how that will help my label problem lol. Sure hope they come up with something.

It seams a little strange that labelsbythesheet keep their labels open to the environment and it doesn't have any effect on them

  6. It really sucks that so many are having the same problem but I really appreciate everyone posting.

I will definately try to hunt down the spray to see if it will work but the closest Michaels to me is an hour away.

Natty - If you hear anything from labels by the sheet, please let us know.

  7. I'm not sure where you are located but Bitter Creek has a "sample pack" of waxes you can buy to help you test the different waxes. The kit doesn't contain soy or my favorite so it's not a complete kit but it will get you started. It really does come down to personal taste in the end.

I like 4630 myself. I've tried 6006 (paraffin/soy blend), 4627 and J223 (paraffin) but didn't like them as well. Other people on the board will swear by these waxes and they are right. They have found the FO/wick/wax combo that works for them.

  8. I look forward to this post every week. I don't post to it because I never feel I have too much exciting going on but I love reading about everyone else's adventures :yay:

This weekend is my tester pouring weekend....

    BCN Closeouts

    Ginger Appletini

    Earth & Sky

    Blueberry Cobbler

    Violet & Birch

    BCN

    Stonehenge

    Candlescience

    Hazelnut Vanilla

    Very Vanilla

    White Clover & tea

Not really exciting to read about but I'm loving it!

  9. I still haven't ordered any because I can't decide :laugh2: . I am such a bakery type person that it just kills me to pick out florals. I am absolutely in love with white clover and tea though but I'm afraid it won't throw very well and no one has posted any reviews for it on their board so I'm even more leary.
