Thanks so much jbradshaw . The olive oil and bergamot is a very earthy blend which I normally don't care for but there is something about this one that i like I won't really know until I get it in wax. It may be better suited for soap

I was on the fence about getting Black Sea. It had a lot of good reviews but it's really not my type of scent. I thought the same thing about Olive Oil and Bergamot so I'm crossing my fingers on that one

The Tropical Mojito and Olive Oil and Bergomot are on special right now (edited) so I couldn't pass it up LOL. I'm glad you mentioned the peppermint. I have been looking for a really good one I hope the forever red isn't too weak

I do have the light box and my daughter has a good camera. It's just a frustrating process for me I guess and I get easily discouraged by it.

I was wondering what types of courses, videos, books etc. you used to teach yourself photography. Do you just use your phone or did you invest in a camera? I cannot take a good picture to save my life LOL but I'm determined to learn. Any advise would be appreciated

I missed @kdmorgan's post. The coconut/apricot blend from Candlewic is the one I started testing with. It blended quite well with 464. Excellent cold throw, hot throw, and color retention. Wicking was still an issue, as was adhesion to container. Melt pools could be a little... iffy after burning when using higher percentages of soy. It had an interesting "clean and clear" quality to the hot throw... I can't explain that. I don't have my notes with me right now to list my wicking results.
Woah! 3 LX 12's? Are you using the bowl containers?
I do use the bowl containers which is why I said I probably wasn't going to be much help lol. 3-wicking is a whole different animal than single wicking and I haven't tried to single wick it yet. It is on my to-do list though
-
I use the coconut/apricot blend from Candlewic. I'm not sure how helpful this will be because I use 3 wicks but the wick that works for me is the LX line. For most FOs (at 8%), i use (3) LX 12s and they work perfectly

That's just crazy! It hurts google in the end because I won't click on an ad if I know it will take me away from the site I'm on.

It would be nice if the ads that are on the site to generate income (AdChoices banner, etc) could open in a new tab instead of taking me to a different site and away from Craftserver.

Bitter Creek sells HDPE bottles and state in the description that they are the same bottles they use for their fragrance oils so they should work fine.
-
Glass jars are heavy so it does cost a lot to ship them. I get mine from the jar store and their shipping is fair but they are only 1 state away from me. Your best bet is to order your jars from a supplier as close to your area as possible. Another option is the Dollar tree if you have one close. You can order their glassware online and pick it up at the store.

Is there any way for me to change my user name without losing my profile? I haven't been kolpin for a long time and would like to change it if I can

Have you tried RE's toasted marshmallow? It's wonderful! Lone Star has one called Marshmallow madness that's good too. It's not as strong as the one from RE but it has a very different scent to it.
I haven't. I have tried ICS and BCN but they just don't seem strong enough for me Thanks for letting me know about RE!

Coconut Apricot Wax Tunneling Issues
in General Candle Making Discussions
Posted
I make 3-wick candles with coconut apricot and have had the best results with HTP wicks. I started out with LX wicks but a proper burn seemed to rely heavily on the spacing between the wicks. I just got more wax a couple weeks ago and haven't had any issues
