Boxes went yesterday..I have to STOP the mail man 2 houses down and tell him to come back and get the boxes..how in the heck did he miss a stack of 6 boxes sitting in front of my MAILBOX...grrrrr..anyway they are on there way.
I have not heard of antiperspirant soap either just deodorant..but do a seach and put in antiperspirant essential oils..I got a TON of links...check them out.
I use WSP..I don't think it is that drying but I have oily skin... I have used the honey, oatmeal, goats milk, white, ultra clear, and shave soaps..hubby uses the shave soap every day..does not seem drying to him either.
Well you will not get bored with this biz let me tell you..there are THOUSANDS of things I still want to try..and the list is still growing. lol.. you can spend 20k in a heartbeat. Sounds like you are on your way..you need to get some wax in that pot and start messing..trust me I think all of us can say that the fist candles we made were not so great.
When I used plain soy I did 1.5oz per #..now with my 50/50 blend I use 1 to 1.5oz per #..the scents that are kick butt strong anyway I only use the 1oz per #.. see what the wax you are using recommends..the 50/50 I use..I was TOLD by the supplier to use as close to 1.5 as I can without overload. which totaly seems backwards to me but hey it works..so I am not going to argue with it. ..and don't compare yourself to the big guys candle co's..sometimes they are not so good anyway..just cause they are huge and all over does not mean they have better candles than we do.
Darn on the old board I had a Gift Basket Tutorial up ..might have to do that again. If you don't know how they are decorated..I would suggest a mix of foods, florals and herbal..so they have a choice...I always pick my candles by scent not color..I don't care if they match or not as long as I like the scent. OR make them neutral colors..tans, white, etc..that will blend with what they have. also what about putting some tarts and an electric warmer in there...and a wick dipper.
I use a 50/50...and I still get wetspots..did not seem to in the begining when I started using it..but after I unboxed some that were stored..they had them..I only use 8oz/16oz jelly jars and filled votives..they all have the spots..I just deal with it..I don't even cover them up. I pour at 155(recommended temp from supplier)..and do not heat the jars..which was also recommended. I really don't think the customers care..as long as they burn good and smell good and strong.JMHO
HOLY CRAP..is that one of my first candles..lol..just kidding ..my first ones did not even burn..the wicks were to small. WHY would someone do that..not test..I would definately contact the person you bought it from and let them know..and SHOW them the jar.. they need to fix that before they get sued by someone not very nice and understanding.
Wow..Trish congrats! Thats is one heck of an opp headed your way..hope you get the account. Hope you don't have a day job..you just might have to quit..wouldn't that be a shame?
There is a pretty large candle co in OH that does not label their stuff..not their refresher oil, candles, nothing..just name /scent..they have stuff in several places around here even. I don't get it..why would you take that chance and risk so much being that lazy to just not put a darn label on..to save $.05.
I like www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com I have used tons of their stuff..they have quite a few different ones to choose from..oh and this one. http://www.essentialsbycatalina.com/
Well the darn mail man came..gave me mail..took the small box in the mail box and LEFT THE OTHER ONES AND DID NOT COME BACK TO GET THEM..GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I am going to put them out again..and CALL the post office and make a complaint if he does not take them today..I can't go out today..and lug 6 boxes with two toddlers in toe...and hubby works late today. He better take the darn boxes this time.
