On fragrance finder they list two places with a plain marshmallow...
At Wix End, and Taylored Concepts! HTH

Yep sounds like a rip off! I'd definitely take it up with them to see what they have to say..then if they don't credit you, I'd take it to every public message board and let others know who they are, and what their business practices are! Seems to be the only way to get these companies to make things right with customers nowadays!

And yes I am against "Animal Tesing" I think it is CRUEL!! The animals get all upset and nervous then end up writing down the wrong answers!!

GB415 is a perfect example of the lunatic fringe mentality that's suddenly become normal. "Pure soy wax" in this case is a euphemism for flaked vegetable shortening made for baking cookies or deep-frying stuff in the fast food joints. "Pure soy candle" just sounds better than "tub of scented grease with a wick". Using that stuff at 100% for making candles is pointless.
Combine it with other ingredients, especially petroleum products, and you can make real soy candle wax that's suitable for quality products. Candles that don't refuse to throw your fragrance oil or require using 50% more (there goes the cost savings). Candles that don't swell up or discolor like stale chocolate while sitting around and don't set up like snot. Better yet, if you like the natural creamy color you can still have it in a wax that really works.
Gee top, tell us how you really feel!:rolleyes2 If you want to call it a tub of scented grease, so be it, but it sure throws a damn good scent out there! I DON'T have to use more fo to get just as good a throw or better than a parrafin candle. I don't have to wait for long periods of time for a cure before I get a great throw....I don't have to add anything else to get this great smelling, great burning candle..I don't have to add any additives to get a great candle...so I have found this tub of scented grease to be a very good thing...to each their own I guess...I'm just glad to know there is someone out there who has such intelligent knowledge about this grease we are using! I will certainly sleep better! Thanks Top, for being there! :neener:

Yes foh has really nice oils, and strong!!! I'm not sure on what type of soy they test with tho..I use 415 and haven't had any probs with her oils! HTH

You guys are serious??? GB 415 soywax is the simplest wax out there to use...I can't see even bothering with a parrafin wax and having to save wax to do re-pours etc...heating up your jars in the oven before pouring...what a total pain in the butt! I have nothing against parrafin candles, I've also never poured them before, I haven't wanted to get into all that pre heating and re pouring junk! I get awesome scent throw in 415 also...the one thing I will give to parrafin is color, yes it looks better if you want colored, but for nice creamy natural colored candles, you can't beat soywax! I often hear people complain that soy was a pain for them when testing, and I just haven't found that...415 is simple to use, and the cheapest to buy, and makes a great looking and smelling candle! Just my 2cents worth! LOL

Just Right Candles is an incredibly popular website and has been using twice the bandwidth of our other sites, and continues to grow. She is a very popular and successful Handcraft Market story! We have adjusted all of our site's bandwidth to accommodate her and our other customers continued growth as well as in preparation for the April launch of our new site builder.
And sosoy .. yes, you are right. If unlimited everything is purchased, then an account should never see this, however, a host still has to make a determination of how much bandwidth to give and sometimes it can be miscalculated. Kind of like an all you can eat buffet.. every now and then someone comes in and cleans you out and you have to cook more.
Ok, gotcha!
-
Yes, Just Right Candles was down for a bandwidth excession. But you girls can stop worrying now, it's fixed and just fine. It seems as though Just Right Candles has a very popular website!
My fault, and my apologies.
So, why did it go down for exceeded bandwidth? Shouldn't it be set up from the beginning with plenty of bandwidth so this never happens? If they purchase unlimited etc... with the website, why does this happen?
-
So when you buy a website through a place like HCM, and they say 'unlimited products', 'unlimited pages' are included in your website, does that mean you shouldn't run out of bandwidth? I am asking because I don't know much about websites and this would be good to know for the future when I do decide to get a website....
-
Wow, is this something that happens to most people with websites, (exceeding the bandwidth)? Is this the server/hosts fault, as in HCM? Hmm...I am beginning to think all the warnings about HCM should be taken seriously...this is not good! :tiptoe:

I don't pick up any spice in this one, more of a musty apple scent with just a slight hint of pine...but I can barely detect the pine. Funny how our noses work!

Hi all, well I have been checking on some insurance companies for my candles, and the one thing that they require but I hadn't heard anyone here ever mention it is every label your going to put on your candles/b&b jars has to be run by them first. They have to approve the wording etc...Is this something new? I haven't heard of insurance companies doing this before, and now I'm thinking of how much time it will take when you want to change a stinkin label because you have to send them one first and they have to approve it......anyone elses insurance requiring this? Thanks all!

This is a reply to kalamazoo..
Cucumber Melon, Cotton Blossom, Cool Citrus Basil and Sweet Pea are BBW names I know that...I believe Clean Cotton maybe a Yankme name....I thought if you used these names you need the 'type' after them...maybe ya don't ...who knows! I just wouldn't want the famous c&d letter showing up!

Snowtop sells candles also. I think alot of them do.
Yes, there are a few of them..FOH has her own candle line also...that's how alot of them got into the supply business...:smiley2:
-
Your site looks great...very springy! Your candles are very nice also, one thing I noticed and am curious about is the scent names on your labels...some are tm'd names and you aren't using the 'type' after them...aren't you supposed to be using that? Otherwise, candles are beautiful!

Fantastic site! I'm drawn in just for the mere fact that you are in Alaska! Some day, me and Alaska are going to meet! Site is great, pics are great, and you have very nice products! Best of luck to you!

BCN has the best Key Lime Pie you can buy! Works awesome in soy, no fuel at all! One sniff and you will want to be sunnin' in Key West! Their Lemon bundt cake special (closeouts) is good too..works well in soy, but I like the Lemon one from BCS better in soy! HTH

How about telling her this, "The day Yank-me gives me a list of their suppliers, and tells me how they make their candles, is the day I will give you my list of suppliers! Have a nice day!
