    I makemy own laundry soap and never had an issue with residue.

    Did you switch lotions? Are you sweating more due to change in season? I have always associated soap scum to whatever goes on your skin and how much you sweat. But maybe I am wrong. I notice when I use my shea butter I have more soap scum, and when I dont use any lotion, I have no soap scum.

    $37.50 for 20 pounds seems expensive to me especially when you can get 30 more pounds for about $10 more. But I guess if you only need 2 # and cant get it locally, then its a good price.

    Thanks for the sources ladies! I really like this one, but they are $2.79 each, which means the actual product is going to be pricey. Thought about using these but I need to find out if they are stainless steel or not. I use smaller versions for my solid perfumes, etc:

    Does anyone know a source where I can get plain white mugs? I would like to make shaving soap in mugs, and all I can find are the companies that imprint mugs. I dont want imprinting, I can make a clear label at home. TIA!

    Oh, I got a 50# container from www.mysticsupply.com for $80 which included shipping. It comes in a pail and not a bag.

    You are so right! I grew up in Cleveland Ohio, and our house there is a like a mansion compared to these down here. I feel so closed in,lol. Up north we had a 4 story house with 7 bedrooms, down here just 1 floor and if you want 2 floors be prepared to pay an arm and leg.

    Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf:) I can't wait to see it cut either,lol. I was striving for a harder bar so this one is mainly shea butter. Its sitting out because I really dont want a gel. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it turns out like I want it. I just wish my black would have actually turned black:( See how pretty this combo is?

    I decided to soap this today. The original plan was to have a solid black bottom layer, and a pink upper layer with a black swirl. But it was a fast mover after I stick blended it. And the black never turned black, stayed at a dark yellow. Sooo, the bottom layer is dark yellow and the top is a pastel pink. It should probably be ready to cut in a few hours.

    I am going to CP Flowerbomb today. Thinking of having a pale pink base and swirling with black to compliment that actual perfume (pink bottle with black ribbon.) Wish me luck!
