  1. Mine are between 4 to 5.5 oz. I just made a batch with Angel where each bar is 10 oz, I wanted that french soap cube look.
  2. I was researching online today and found a suggestion from another soaper. She said that she puts pours her CP soap in the mold and then sits in in a styrofoam cooler or a regular cooler and just sits it outside (perfect for those who live in climates that are hot all year round, or just to save energy over the summer.) She says the soap is read to use within a day or 2. Another soaper says that she just pops the soap in the backseat of her car during the hotter times and leaves it there for a day or two. I am going to try these methods, can't let this Florida heat go to waste:wink2:
  3. Well they look much better than my swirls, lol.
  4. I am on there now...I di d find one post in here where someone CPed and it riced:(
  5. I know Sweet Cakes has it but its a bit pricey. Does anyone have another source?
  6. I plan on doing this doing, but wanted to see if anyone has done it successfully yet. I did a search and could not find any info. On Sweet Cakes site they say they have not had a chance to. Wondering if it will turn the soap brown, because I am guessing that it might, and I might do white swirls. TIA:D
  7. Alas, I declare myself swirling impaired. Looks pretty on top but does not make its way through:undecided
  8. Oh my!! That is so beautiful! I am so jealous of those swirls.
  9. Oh, it is yummy! Here is the pic of it out of the mold, yes, I am such a teaser:D Can you see the Rosemary flecks and the green part? They are supposed to represent the leaves of a rose. It did not gel and I love the nice creamy color it has. Its 45% liquid veggie shortening ($13 for a 50 pound jug at Costso) 30% olive and 25% coconut Oil. It has big fluffy bubbles (just from me touchign it to remove the parchment paper. I will cut this in a few hours. Anyhoo, I am about to whip up another bathc of the flowerbomb soap, that whole batch the other day has been accounted for already. Then I will make some laundry soap powder.
  10. I used my own little package that I always create when I make something to sell tonight. Everywhere I went people kept asking me what the fragrance was:)
  11. Thanks everyone!! I've got it bad. I was leaving my house today and I could not remember if I had left my oven on. So the first thing that came mind was not, oh I better go check because I dont want my house and thousands of dollars worth of our property to burn down. Nope, it was "It would be a shame to lose my first decent swirled batch of soap to a fire":laugh2: Which had me out the car in a nanosecond making sure the oven was off, which it was:D
  12. Before I unmold I pop it in the freezer for about 30 minutes, then they pop right out.
  13. I made another batch of CP! It is fragranced with Ete Un Rose. It is swirled with pink oxide, green oxide and rosemary leaves for character, I put it in the fridge to try and prevent a gel. The house smells so lovely, nothing like old Aunt Amelia or anything like that:laugh2: This is the prettiest rose I have ever encountered.
  14. Ohh, I like that blue/black/white bar. What did you use to get that rich black color?
  15. This is a new package I created last night. I actually had a 5 minute video on how I made the whipped shea butter, but the stupid thing wont upload from my camera to the PC:sad2: I will have to do it again. I used my antique Sunbeam whipmaster to whit the stuff out of pure unrefined clear shea butter. I actually have a source straight from Ghana for the stuff, so if anyone wants to buy some of it, let me know. The clear shea butter is not clear of course, but it is a cream color, and does not hold too much of the nutty fragrance. I only use the golden shea if someone requests it. As you can see, the clear unrefined comes out whipped white and it is absolutely yummy looking. Its 32 fluffy ounces that will last for a pretty long time. I have an 8 ouncer that I have been using since December that is not even at the halfway mark. I also use it to condition my hair and my daughter's hair. The soap is of course my Flowerbomb soap, and with the package I am including 1/3 ounce of the perfume as well. The shea butter is also fragranced with Flowerbomb. Please let me know what you think. Here is my description: Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf- Get ready for a fragrance explosion! Begins with top notes of bergamot, tea, and peony, leading to an explosive flowery midsection of real jasmine absolute, freesia, orchid, orange flower, and a kiss of peach, with a warm, sweet drydown of cedarwood, patchouli, amber, leather, musk, and vanilla. This package will literally take your skin to new heights! Included are 3 whopping 5 ounce handcut bars of handmade soap made with 60% shea butter, 20% coconut oil and 20% olive oil, all saponified together for a warm rich creamy concoction! The bars are perfumed with Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf, and each bar will last for quite awhile. They are created to give your skin a lot of the moisture that it deserves. Up next in the package is 32 fluffy ounces of whipped shea butter, which contains 100% unrefined shea butter, but it is not the golden nutty kind, we use a special blend that is hard to find, straight from Ghana. We whip your shea butter with 90% shea butter, and 8% sweet almond oil, 2% coconut oil for a whip that if firm to the touch, but sinks right into your skin upon contact. And it smells oh so good, lightly fragranced with Flowerbomb. You will also receive 1/3 oz roll on of Flowerbomb perfume oil. One swipe and the fragrance will last all day long. Perfect to create the fragrance layering effect of one of this year's hottest fragrances.
  16. WhenI was preggers with my daughter and my son I just used plain old EVOO. No itch and no stretch marks either.
  17. OMG!!! You should turn that into an album! Imagine how many albums you would sell to soapers worldwide!
  18. Oh soap porn.....wow!!! That looks wonderful. I cant wait to see it cut. I need a swirling tutorial:)
  19. I applied for a membership there weeks ago and I am still waiting to be accepted:(
  20. I used unrefined shea butter yesterday to make my flowerbomb soap, and I can still smell the nuttiness but when I wash my hands with it, all I smell in the FO I used to make it with. I have been using shea butter for over 15 years, just have never heard or known of soap grade shea butter. Wonder what they do to it to make it soap grade, leading me to believe that it is not unrefined after all? Maybe the site was just using fancy lingo or something, lol.
