I use wick pins. The only breaking I have ever had is the tiny lip that forms on the bottom if the pins are not the flat ones. I just even that up, and they look fine. I have never had them break anywhere else.

I use 4794, and I put a slab in a pillowcase, lean it on an angle on the wall or my desk chair and, I whack it with a hammer. I get some big pieces, and I do the same with those . I actually like breaking it up.
I had heard the 4641, that the color of the pellets can be different, so that may be what waxdragon means.

Yup, stay away from the butters and lotions for now. It will hold in the heat.
Did you water down the vinegar? I had no stinging with the vinegar, and it really did help. Maybe do a 30/70 mix or something.
You can do cold compresses, that will keep the heat down.
Poor thing....hope he feels better soon. Sunburn sucks, and it sure teaches a painful lesson. I had a really bad burn in June, so I know how he feels!

I diluted white vinegar with water (50/50), and put it in a spray bottle. I used that when I was sunburned, and it made me feel a lot better. I just kept spraying it on whenever I wanted to. After a few days, I switched to spray on aloe gel I put in the fridge...now THAT felt so good on my skin!!!

I have about 150 votives to make for my sister's wedding. Then, a batch of tarts for a girl I work with. And then the tarts for the fall scent swap. Busy busy!!
-
I uses IGI 4794. No additives. Good throw, and easy to get out of molds.
-
I use the 3x3. I make the fluted ones and the mini muffin ones. When they are in the bag, they are snug where they don't move too much. I think the smaller bag will be too tight.

I used to live in Clearwater by the airport. I always thought that if I moved back, I would not have a local place to buy from!
-
I have a wedding shower on Sunday, and I just finished making all the favors. Melts in Sage and Citrus and J&J Bedtime from thecandlesource.
Smells so good!!
Now, I have to get cracking on the votives for the wedding favors!

Do we put anything in the comment section to get the sale price?
Just put one day sale in the comments.

I usually make it yellow too.

Well, I am tempted to buy a few and see how it goes. I heard to use a vegetable peeler on the block.
Thanks anyways

That is where I got mine from. They have a whole range of colors, including the cinnamon.
I was thinking about trying their dye blocks. Did you like them??
-
Those look awesome. I wish I could smell them thru my laptop
-
That is gorgeous!! I bet it smells awesome!

Do you do the second pour on your melts (tarts). I find that after the first pour, the tops are wavy - but when I do the second pour, they smooth right out!
I don't do a 2nd pour. I like them a little wavy
-
Nope, comes in slabs you get to whack with a hammer.
-
I use 4794. It is easy to use. The tops can be a tiny bit wavy, but I like them that way, and it makes them look handmade. They release easily from molds. I just like the wax I guess

I would have answered you, but I don't use soy. I used it in 4794 and liked it, although it was not a dead on pear. Kind of had a green apple background to it.

I recently did some for a wedding. I packaged in a polypro bag, used fancy ribbon, and added a card about their use. I also made sure to include the were not edible. You never know what people will do with them if they don't know what it is.
I approved everything with the bride and groom, but told them there would be a warning attatched. They understood and it worked out wonderfully

I really only make tarts (and a few votives). I actually use it as a release at the end of a long day. And, it keeps my hands busy, which keeps me from snacking late at night.
I sell some tarts at work, and it just helps me buy more FO

Walmart is cheap. I think mine was $25. Found it in the paint department.

Last night I was testing some Candle Source scents. I had Relaxation tarts going in the kitchen and Bartlett Pear tarts in the living room. Love me some bartlett pear

I use the shoebox sized ones wit the #5 on the bottom. They are not too big, and not too small and you can fit a lot in there. And, they can be pretty cheap.

I have tried almost all of those on your list. I use 4794, and have not had a bad one yet. They smell good, cold and hot throw is good.
