I use my 4794 votive wax. HTH
-
I used to buy their votives and tealights They are the reason I started making my own. Throw was never consistent, and it was a waste of money for me.
-
I'm going to have to go with no on this one.
-
This seems like it will be a lot of fun. I think I may actually give it a try
-
Really awesome. I could not tell that was MP!
-
I never thought of the small hex jars. I love how they look!
-
Thanks
I could not do baby jars since I do not have a source for them, but I was thinking that size, something I can get at a craft store. I almost wished I made jar candles so people could just smell from there
-
Maybe I should rephrase...
I am having samples of all my scents. My product line doesn't allow for people to remove tops like a jar candle.
My question is about the best way to display my samples.
So, should I go with the small jars, or is there a better idea?
Thanks again!

OK, here is my dilemma. I am doing my first craft fair a month from now, and am having trouble deciding how to get people to sniff what I have. I only make melts, ornies and sachets, and those are all packaged to not let the smell come out unless opened. I was thinking I could pour wax in a small jar (baby food sized), label them, and leave them out for people to smell. Does this sound like a good idea, or can you think of something better?
Thanks!!!

I bought mine at Wal Mart.

I love Grandma's Kitchen and Spiced Sugar Plums from The Candle Source. I get rave reviews on them both.
-
That's really cool. I always have tons of boxes, so this is a good way to reuse them!
-
Well, I had planned to start pouring fall scents for a couple shows coming up. But, now I have to recover from a big ole cortisone shot in my shoulder. Hopefully by Sunday I can get to pouring!!

I find that warming the votive molds during first and 2nd pour works for me so I don't have to do relief holes.
-
I use the pillow case. I lay it on my desk chair at an angle, and whack it with a rubber mallet. Breaks into manageable pieces, and it is quick.
-
That is really cool. Congrats!!
-
I love the labels too. The site looks very nice

I have found IGI 4794 to work best for me.
Same here for melts and votives.
I use the container wax from The Candle Source when making wickless.
-
Finishing the votives for my sister's wedding. After that, no more candles!!
-
I would stick with Candle Source and Bitter Creek.
-
I only touch my molds if there are tiny bubbles on the top of what I just poured. Then I just tap lightly until the bubble is gone.
Recently, I had a hard time with votives. I started warming the molds in my oven on the lowest setting. I take them out just before I pour. I then put them back in for the second pour for a few minutes to rewarm them, and then take them out just before I do the second pour. I have been making some beautiful votives this way.

??? Then why does the local Taco Bell add $1.00 for Credit/Debit use?? if it isn't legal how are they able to do it w/o being prosecuted. Why do the local gas stations charge a fee for credit cards, like Arco they charge $1 to use plastic, most 76 stations here charge an extra $.10 for each gallon of gas. How are they able to get away with it! Little mom & pop shops have little signs at the register, $.50-$1.50 fee for credit/debit purchases.
Probably because a lot of people don't know you aren't supposed to do it. If a complaint is filed with MC/VISA they can stop their ability from taking credit cards.

I have only had a few I really did not care for. Other than that, I have been very happy with their oils. Great customer service!
